Corsair Intros Carbide SPEC-05 Mid-tower Case

Corsair expanded its Carbide SPEC line of entry-level cases with the new SPEC-05. This ATX mid-tower case is characterized by a clever design gimmick - the left side panel looks like it's tempered glass because it covers almost the entire area of the panel, but is actually clear acrylic. The front features a somewhat curvy design with a gash that runs through the middle, revealing the front intake vent with its illuminated 120 mm intake fan. Internally, the case resembles the likes of the Carbide 100R, with a roomy single compartment layout.

Drive bays include three 3.5-inch/2.5-inch bays, and two 2.5-inch mounts. The case has room for graphics cards up to 37 cm in length, CPU coolers up to 15 cm in height, and PSUs up to 18 cm in length. Ventilation includes either 3x 120 mm or 2x 140 mm front intakes, 2x 140/120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. The case measures 199 mm x 483 mm x 433 mm (WxDxH). Front panel connectivity includes two type-A USB 3.0 ports, and HDA jacks. Available now, and backed by a 2-year warranty, the Corsair Carbide SPEC-05 is priced at USD $49.99.

DeepCool Intros New Ark 90 Electro Limited Edition Case

DeepCool today introduced the GamerStorm New Ark 90 Electro limited edition case. The company is only manufacturing 100 pieces of the variant, which is characterized by a racy orange color scheme dominating the smaller left (metallic) portion of the case, including the left side-panel, the left top-panel with its illuminated vents, and more importantly, the motherboard tray and the PSU part of the bottom compartment. The orange motherboard tray is contrasted by black bits in the form of the 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive cage, the rear panel, and the rubber grommets along the tray. The rest of its feature-set is identical to the original, which debuted this January, and bagged a Red Dot design award. The company didn't reveal pricing.

MSI Intros the MAG Pylon Tempered Glass Case

MSI today introduced the Gaming Series MAG Pylon, an ATX mid-tower case characterized by tempered glass panels, and MSI Mystic Light RGB readiness. The case features 4 mm-thick tempered glass making up both its left and right side panels, and front panels. The rest of the case is made of 0.6 mm-thick SECC steel. Under the hood is a conventional horizontal dual partition layout. The upper main compartment serves up room for graphics cards up to 37 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16.5 cm in height.

The bottom compartment is completely enclosed from the left side, and has an RGB LED-illuminated MSI Gaming logo near the PSU bay. Storage features include two 3.5-inch drive bays in the bottom compartment, which can each hold 2.5-inch drives; and four 2.5-inch drive mounts behind the motherboard tray. Cooling includes three 120 mm or two 140 mm front-intakes, with three factory-fitted 120 mm RGB LED-lit fans; two 140/120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. Front panel connectivity includes two each of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0/1.1 ports, and HDA jacks. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Sharkoon Announces the TG5 RGB ATX Midi Tower with Controllable RGB LED Fans

Sharkoon has added a new version to the TG5 ATX PC Case launched in 2017: The Sharkoon TG5 RGB ATX Midi Tower. In addition to the tempered glass front and left side panel, the TG5 RGB ATX Midi Tower features four 120 mm RGB LED fans as well as a Sharkoon RGB LED strip. In total, six LED elements can be controlled via a 12V-G-R-B connector with the included 6-port RGB hub. The TG5 RGB is compatible with GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura as well as other common RGB capable mainboards. Cougar Launches the Panzer Evo Full-Size Tempered Glass Case

Riotoro Intros the CR488 Case

Riotoro introduced the CR488, an ATX mid-tower case with room for long graphics cards, tall CPU coolers, and a generous number of drives. Inside you'll find what's supposed to be a horizontally partitioned layout, but the partition itself isn't pronounced, rather suggestive (there is still a protrusion). The bottom compartment holds the PSU bay (up to 22 cm of room), and two 3.5-inch drive caddies accessible from either side. Two 2.5-inch drives can be mounted behind the motherboard tray. Lian Li to Resurrect the LanCool Brand

Lian Li announced that it is resurrecting the LanCool brand of gaming PC cases. LanCool branded cases are differentiated from the main Lian Li series in typically being of a lower cost, having more steel in place of aluminium, and breaking away from the restrained and minimalist style Lian Li is known for. LanCool cases compete with some of the more mainstream ATX mid-tower and micro-ATX tower-type cases. DeepCool Launches Baronkase Liquid Case with Pre-installed AIO Liquid CPU Cooler

BARONKASE LIQUID is an all-metal Micro-ATX body that supports ATX motherboards with a solid metal handle at the top making it an ideal solution for a portable VR-ready PC. Akasa Releases Pascal MD Waterproof Case for Intel "Dawson Canyon" NUC

Akasa today introduced the Pascal MD (A-NUC40-M1) fan-less case for Intel 7th generation "Dawson Canyon" NUC boards, namely NUC7i3DNBE, NUC7i3DNKE, and NUC7i3DNHE. The case boasts of IP65-compliant waterproofing, including modular waterproof connectors at the back of the case, which connect internally with the various ports of the NUC board. Its body doubles up as a chunky, ridged aluminium heatsink, to cool the "Kaby Lake" SoC. The case measures 234.6 mm x 238 mm x 76.3 mm (WxDxH), and comes with 2 m long modular cables with connectors for power, USB 3.0, network, and HDMI. The case is recommended for outdoor builds such as digital signage, automobile, marine vessels (navigation computers), etc.
