Rosewill, a leading manufacturer in quality, budget-friendly PC hardware has recently launched a new LED-illuminated gaming computer case to add to their summer lineup: The ORBIT-Z1. GIGABYTE today introduced the Aorus AC300W, an ATX mid-tower chassis designed for gaming PC builds, which lets you take advantage of the VR-Link feature of some of the recent Aorus-branded graphics cards. The case features a front-panel HDMI 2.0 port, which internally plugs into the VR-Link HDMI port of your Aorus graphics card. The front-panel also features a type-C USB 3.1 port, and two other USB 3.1 type-A ports; besides HDA front-panel audio jacks. The AC300W is made mostly of steel and ABS plastic, with a brushed aluminium-finish front panel, and an acrylic side-panel window. It is studded with RGB LEDs along two front-panel design accents, an Aorus logo, and a second Aorus logo on the bottom compartment cover, visible through the window. These LEDs plug in directly to the RGB LED headers of your motherboard, and can be controlled using GIGABYTE RGB Fusion software.

Under the hood, the AC300W has a horizontal dual-compartment layout which is all the rage, these days. The top compartment holds a standard ATX motherboard with add-on cards as long as 400 mm, and CPU coolers as tall as 170 mm. The bottom compartment holds a PSU up to 180 mm in length, and two 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays. Three additional 2.5-inch drives can be mounted behind the motherboard tray. While the case has 7 expansion slot bays, two additional slots are designed such that you can mount your graphics card vertically, using a PCIe riser (not included). You can mount either three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans along the front panel, two 140 mm fans along the top panel, and a 140 mm fan along the rear panel. The front fan mounts include a detachable dust filter. The company didn't mention pricing.

SilverStone has just announced availability of their Redline chassis lineup. Aimed towards a more budget-conscious consumer, the Redline offers a standard ATX support and seven expansion slots in black and red or white and black color schemes (yes, you physics pundits are right when you say that black or white aren't colors... Let's let that one slide now, shall we?)

The RL06-G and RL06-GP cases are able to accommodate CPU coolers 158 mm tall, full-length graphics cards up to 348 mm, and power supplies up to 200 mm. Both chassis have mounting locations for 3x 3.5" hard disks (trays located in front of the PSU) and 2x 2.5" solid state drives (behind the motherboard tray.) The latest additions to the Redline series come standard with a full length power supply shroud that covers both the PSU and the three 3.5" trays.

Thermaltake today introduced the View 21 Tempered Glass Edition case. A variant of the View 21, this ATX mid-tower comes with 4 mm-thick tempered glass panels along both its sides, and front. The case features a contemporary horizontally partitioned layout. The larger top compartment holds the motherboard tray, with room for add-on cards as long as 42 cm, and CPU coolers as tall as 16 cm.

Storage options include two 2.5-inch mounts along the partition between the two compartments, two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch bays behind the motherboard tray. Cooling includes three 120 mm front intakes, a 120 mm bottom intake, one 140 mm top exhaust, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. Measuring 208 mm x 471 mm x 492 mm (WxDxH), the case weighs a little over 8 kg. The company didn't reveal pricing.

At5 Computex 2017, Sharkoon took the opportunity to set customer's eyes on their AM5 case, which features a modular front panel that can be swapped at will (provided you acquire the other options.) One of the most interesting characteristics of this case is that it will be sold in two options with differing materials for the side panels: one with an acrylic sheet, which is already a well-known material for those who want to gorge their eyes on their hardware; or with soundproof panels, which make sure not a whisper from your system's cooling can escape the confines of your case (at least from this particular side.)

Other characteristics are as usual, with a maximum 40 cm length for the graphics card, 16.7 cm for the CPU cooler, 20.5 cm for the power supply, support for 2x 140 mm fans on the front panel (pre-installed) or one of those 240 mm radiators; 1x 120 mm fan support on the back of the chassis; and up to 3x 120 mm fans or 2x 140 mm on the top of the case (we posit 280 mm AIOs can also be fit there).

Two of the more unique mass-market designs on show on Computex 2017 have to be the Phanteks EVOLV Shift and Shift X SFF cases. These are the essence of a tower case (though they can also lie on their side like a roman citizen at dinner time, if you are so inclined.) These are aluminum and tempered-glass crafted cases, with a ridiculous 17 (W) x 27 (D) x 48 (H) cm footprint on the Shift. The Shift X is the taller solution of the two, with a 65 cm height. These little cases than could support water cooling and component placement in multiple orientations, and include an integrated RGB controller to boot.

The front I/O contains just two USB 3.0 ports, but it's the interior which shines. Phanteks managed to cram a lot into such a compact form-factor. Motherboards will have to be of the mini-ITX type, there's no way around that; however, there's also with support for 2x PCI slots, and the Shift X brings support for 2x internal 3.5" and 2x 2.5" drives (you can also mount 2.5" solutions on the 3.5" bays, mind you.) It also supports PS2 PSUs, while the smaller Shift has to cut one of the 3.5" bays, and only supports SFF PSUs. However, for their sizes, both Shifts support 3x 120 mm and 3x 140 mm fans on the front of the case, and 1x 120 mm, 1x 140 mm fans on the bottom. The EVOLV Shift will retail for $110, while the Shift X brings that number up to $160.

Enermax showed off its Steelwing and Steelwing X cases. The Steelwing is a mini-ITX case with three expansion slots, so you don't run out of room for 2+ slots thick graphics cards. It's characterized by vertical metal inserts along the front-panel, which gives it an industrial look. Inside, you'll find room for more than one 3.5-inch drive bay, a 2.5-inch bay, a prominent LED-lit 120 mm front intake fan, and room for a top exhaust. The case is available in silver with green LED lighting, and clear tempered glass side panel; and black with red LED lighting and slightly tinted tempered glass side panel.

The Steelwing X is a scale-up of the Steelwing design. It is a micro-ATX case in almost ATX mid-tower proportions. It can hold on to micro-ATX motherboards with 5 expansion slots, so you get to install a dual-slot graphics card on even the bottom-most slot. Yaou get a large number of drive bays, vast clearance for graphics cards and CPU coolers, and three 120 mm front-intakes, besides top exhausts. This case will be available in similar color combinations to the Steelwing.

Aerocool showed off the Quartz mid-tower and Quartz Pro full-tower cases at the 2017 Computex. The two feature a consistent design theme, with a large polygonal acrylic front window, tempered glass side panels, and factory-fitted RGB LED fans, with IR remote control for the lighting, color, and fan-speed. The Quartz features a fixed front window since it lacks an exposed 5.25-inch drive bay; while the Quartz Pro has a front door with the acrylic window, which opens up into the front intakes and an exposed 5.25-inch drive bay. As the larger case, the Quartz Pro has room for larger E-ATX motherboards, with more drive bays, and mounts for larger 140 mm fans (although the three 120 mm intakes are carried over from the Quartz).

Nanoxia showed off its entire lineup of Project S series pedestal orientation-capable cases. The cases can be oriented flat along their sides (pedestal), so you can revel upon your creation through their all-tempered glass side panels; or be made to save space by orienting them as common towers. The Project S Mini is designed for mini-ITX gaming PC builds, in which you can install a full-length 2-slot graphics card using the included riser cable. It can hold onto an SFX power supply.

The Project S Midi is designed for micro-ATX builds, with its PSU and drive bays located where you'd expect them to be in a common tower-type case. The Project S (standard) is where the action is - capable of seating ATX motherboards, this case has loads of room for your liquid cooling setup. All three cases are characterized by a brushed-finish aluminium front panel that protrudes out of the fascia.

In the year of their 31st anniversary, Antec Inc., a leading provider of high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself market, will present a number of new PC cases as well as a new line of power supplies over the course of this year's 2017 Computex exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan. Antec will showcase their new solutions at the Grand Hyatt Taipei, Room No. 2424. Antec's featured enclosures include new cases of the renowned Antec Performance One Series as well as a new line of Gold-certified power supplies.

Ahead of their official Computex 2017 unveiling, we took a brief stroll through Jonsbo's booth, and took a peek under the covers to reveal some fascinating creations of anodized aluminium and tempered glass. The styling on these cases includes matte aluminium with brushed finish, and diamond-cut edges, mated with tinted-black tempered glass panels. The first case that caught our attention was the VR1, a cuboidal SFF chassis for mini-ITX builds, with a pedestal motherboard tray, a graphics card bay which utilizes the 399 mm height of the case to hold graphics cards up to 32 cm in length, using a PCIe riser. The case also takes advantage of its height and motherboard tray orientation to free up room for CPU coolers as tall as 19 cm.

Next up is the new UMX 5. Featuring a characteristic vertical striped front fascia, this case is made of 0.5 mm-thick aluminium-magnesium alloy, with 5 mm-thick tempered glass over the side panel. It measures 224 mm x 507 mm x 485 mm (WxHxD), and serves up room for E-ATX (and smaller) motherboards, with graphics cards up to 32.5 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16.6 cm in height. Cooling includes three 120 mm front intakes, two top exhausts, two bottom intakes, and a rear exhaust. In Win is one of the most influential brands when it comes to case-design, the company is at the cutting edge of implementing new materials. If 2015-16 was all about tempered glass, 2017-18 could be about wood, at least that's what In Win thinks so. The company unveiled two cases with plywood (particle-board) panels, the In Win 806 ATX mid-tower, and the Gaming Cube A1 cubical mini-ITX. Both cases feature a slightly lime-tinted wood panel. On the 806, it dominates the design running from the front to the top; on the A1, it finishes off the top. Both cases further feature aluminium and tempered glass, the two other premium materials for PC cases.

The Gaming Cube A1 measures 200 mm x 268 mm x 340 mm (WxHxD), and features a pedestal-type layout for its motherboard tray, which frees up room for a dual-slot (well, 2.5-slot) graphics card up to 31.5 cm in length. It can hold an SFX power-supply, and a CPU cooler up to 16 cm in height. Cooling features include two 120 mm bottom intakes and a 120 mm exhaust each on the rear and side. The In Win 806, on the other hand, is a mid-tower measuring 215 mm x 490 mm x 468 mm, with room for CPU coolers as tall as 17 cm, and graphics cards as long as 32 cm. Cooling includes two 120 mm mounts each along the top, bottom, and front; and a rear exhaust. The case features reversible USB 3.1 type-C front-panel ports.

MSI wants to monetize its innovations made in graphics card cooler fan designs. The company rolled out a "TORX" branded case fan that is based on the same design as the fans found in the company's TwinFrozr-series VGA coolers, first as part of its Core Frozr series CPU coolers, and now as in a standalone package. The unique selling point of these fans are the patented impeller design, which has two sets of blades in an alternating arrangement - the first kind of blades are traditional in design, which create a steady air-flow, while the second kind are called "dispersion" blades, which have a steeper curvature, that accelerates airflow.

The first TORX branded fan in a standalone package is 25 mm-thick 120 mm, with a conventional square frame, and rubberized mounts. It takes in 4-pin PWM power input, and spins between 500-1,800 RPM, with airflow ranging between 19.79-71.27 CFM, and a proportionate output noise range of 17.2-33.6 dBA. The fan hub features a fluid-dynamic bearing, and has a rated MTBF of 150,000 hours. The company didn't reveal pricing.

At CES 2017, CES showcased a new case prototype, Project 217, which will come in two versions: the 217 and the 217S which, as you might have guessed, is a smaller version of the 217, sharing with it the same design language and product vision.

In yet another addition to their already populated line of computer cases, Silverstone has announced the release of the budget-oriented (by Silverstone's standards) RL06 ATX case. It is built primarily from steel and plastic, and sheds the more premium tempered glass alternative for a more cost-effective transparent plastic side window.

The RL06 will be available in two different color schemes: the usual, gamer-style black with red trim or a more subdued white with silver trim. The base model ships with a single 120mm fan on the rear of the case, but Silverstone also announced a Pro version which comes with three additional 120mm LED fans mounted on the front of the case.
