In addition to the CUBE MAX, X2 Products is preparing the release of another aluminum-made compact chassis, the Quantax. Seen below, X2's case measures 300 x 220 x 100 mm, it has two front-facing USB ports (one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0), one 5.25-inch drive bay, one 3.5-inch tray, and comes bundled with a 200 W power supply.

The HTPC-ready Quantax has a two-year warranty and a recommended price tag of $94.95/69.95 Euro (without VAT).

Inter-Tech announced a new, flashy entry-level mid-tower case, the Badger JY-230. Featuring a glossy black ABS front, and non-coated SECC steel interiors; the case is characterized by a glowy blue front ornament. Measuring 410 mm x 180 mm x 405 mm (DxWxH), the case offers four external 5.25-inch drive bays, one external and four internal 3.5-inch ones; and a cooling system that includes a 120 mm front intake, and a 92 mm rear exhaust. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Sharkoon expands its range of low-cost cases and introduces a new ATX case series. The minimalist VS4 series is ideal for both home and office PCs and stands out due to its versatile features at an attractive price. The all-black ATX cases with a black interior finish are compatible with mini-ITX, micro-ATX as well as ATX, weigh 3.5 kg each, and are available in a Standard, Value or Window version. Dimensions are 445 x 200 x 430 mm (L x W x H).

In the front of both the Value and Window version there are two USB 3.0 and two audio ports. The Standard version provides two USB 2.0 and two audio ports. Thanks to the provided side panels the entire VS4 series offers space for the hassle-free installation of tower coolers with a height of up to 16 cm. Graphics cards with a maximum length of up to 31 cm, up to 38.5 cm after removing the SSD hard drive cage, can also be installed. A total of up to seven expansion cards can be installed. The maximum length for power supplies is 25 cm; a suitable dust filter is pre-installed on the bottom. All cases in the series offer installation openings for a CPU cooler, two openings for water cooling as well as a comfortable cable management system. The Window version is available with an acrylic side panel.

Inter-Tech has now rolled out a new entry-level PC chassis, a midi-tower known as Eterno V6 Paladin. Seen below, this model measures 415 x 185 x 440 mm and has two front-facing USB ports (one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0), three 5.25-inch and five 3.5-inch drive bays, support for ATX and micro ATX motherboards, and 'reserved space' for two fans (80/92/120 mm) on the side panel and for one on the rear panel.

The Eterno V6 Paladin is backed by a two-year warranty and can be found, bundled with a 500 W power supply, priced at 41 Euro.

SilentiumPC has now introduced a new Brutus Series PC chassis, a micro ATX-supporting model (just like the S20 seen last week) known as the Brutus S30 Pure Black. This one measures 365 x 380 x 186 mm and has two front-facing USB ports (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0), a SDXC/microSD card reader, one 5.25-inch, one 3.5-inch, one 2.5-inch and two 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays, one pre-installed 80 mm fan on the rear panel, and support for a second fan (120 mm) on the front panel.

The Brutus S30 Pure Black can house graphics cards up to 305 mm long, it has a two-year warranty and costs 99 PLN ($31 / 24 Euro).

Inter-Tech has this week released a new midi-tower PC chassis, the Starter 4. This model measures 415 x 185 x 440 mm and has two front-placed USB ports (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0), four 5.25-inch and five 3.5-inch drive bays, and support for up to two 120, 92 or 80 mm fans on the side panel and for one 120/92/80 mm fan on the rear panel.

The Starter 4 is backed by a two-year warranty and can be found, bundled with a 500 W power supply, priced at 36.99 Euro.

Sharkoon Technologies today announced the availability of its CA-I and CA-M aluminum PC cases. The Grandia GD10, along with GD09, is a culmination of SilverStone's decade-long experience in HTPC case design and manufacturing into a product that every PC enthusiast can enjoy. Here are some of the first pictures of Gigabyte's Essence mini-ITX case. Designed for entry-level mini-ITX desktops that can be fan-less, the Essence measures 300 mm x 234 mm x 74 mm; and is made of SECC steel and plastic. Its design involves a main cubicle inclined onto a stand, which encloses its power supply. A 120W external power brick supplies 12V, which it then gives out as various ATX standard power connectors. The case can hold a full-height mini-ITX motherboard, and a 2.5-inch drive. The case is beginning to sell in Japan, priced at the equivalent of $130. The source doesn't expect it to be priced above $100 in western markets.

Rosewill announced the RISE line of slim ATX full-tower cases. Available in two variants, the RISE, and RISE Glow (featuring illuminated fans), these cases are low on depth, and should be less stuffy to tuck away under your desk. They measure 233 mm x 440 mm x 550 mm (WxDxH), dry-weighing 14 kg, and are made mostly of SECC steel. The two achieve their relatively low depth by doing away with drive bays lining the front side, and instead positioning them along the bottom, thereby creating room for long graphics cards.

Storage features on the Rosewill RISE include two 5.25-inch drive bays (from which one converts to 3.5-inch external), and two 3.5-inch bays, which each convert to 2.5-inch. An additional 2.5-inch drive can be bolted to the top of this cage.
