NZXT Debuts Hades Gaming PC Chassis

NZXT, a company built on realizing the dreams of gamers worldwide, is proud to unveil Hades, a chassis that provides an array of advanced features for the most demanding PC enthusiast. Airflow is optimized with 5 fans(dual 200mm intake, 200 mm front fan, dual top 140mm fans, side 200mm fan, and rear 120mm exhaust). Lian Li Launches the All New PC-7FN and PC-60FN Mid-Tower Chassis

Lian Li launches PC-A70F/A71F Full Tower Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd Ltd has launched the PC-A70F/71F Full Tower chassis ideal for power users and server systems. The hair-line brushed all black aluminum chassis features two fans on the front (2x 140mm@1000RPM), and 2x rear 120mm fans @1500RPM. The 7x PCI expansion slots enable CrossFire and SLI graphic card setups. The chassis front face has either a door assembly which can open from either side as needed (PC-A71F) or a front panel which clips off conveniently as needed (PC-A70F). The inlet fans have filters that are washable. The entire chassis is designed for tool-less implementation, so installing your hardware and getting your system up and running is extremely easy. The dimensions stand at 220mm x 590mm x 615mm ( W, H, D) for the PC-A71F, and 220mm x 590mm x 585mm ( W, H, D) for the PC-A70F.

Nexus Unveils EDGE Full-ATX Tower Chassis

Nexus announced the newest addition its case lineup. The Nexus EDGE, measuring 64.2 x 23.9 x 57.6 cm (L x W x D) is a full-ATX tower, compatible with most Flex-ATX, M-ATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboards. The case has a fine brushed-metal finish with polished, rounded-off edges. The external drive bays can be locked off behind a metal front-door. Although the exterior reveals 13 5.25" bays, only 8 of them are accessible. The bottom five bay covers protect the 4-bay 3.5" drive cage inside, which neighbours two 2-bay drive racks that hang above the PSU area. This area is separated from the motherboard area, and shares room for a 120 mm fan with it.

The motherboard tray has room for 7 expansion slots. It has an opening where most motherboards have the CPU socket, which provides accessibility to CPU coolers with bolt-through retention mechanisms. Another 120 mm fan bay is located above the rear-panel, an a 140 mm fan to ventilate the entire case from its top. The case provides a degree of noise control with its noise-absorbtion wave foam padding. The utility panel is located on the top, and is a standard issue with a couple of USB ports, an eSATA port, and audio connectors. The Nexus EDGE is expected to retail for around 160 EUR.

NZXT M59 Medium Tower PC Chassis Early Look

PC Games Hardware Online is again a step ahead of NZXT themselves, giving us an early look at their latest enclosure - the mid-tower M59 PC chassis. The new all-black case is big enough to fit four 5.25-inch drives, and up to five 3.5-inch hard disks, also the case comes with brackets that allow for up to two 2.5-inch solid-state drives to be installed inside. For adequate cooling NZXT provides two 120 mm fans installed on the side panel and on the back of the case. An additional two 140 mm fans can be installed on top of the case. Lastly, the case has pre-drilled holes that ease the installation of external water cooling radiators a lot. The case is expected to start selling later this month for just under 60 Euro.

Thermaltake Launches the Mid-Tower Element G Chassis

Thermaltake has just introduced the Element G case, for those of you still searching for the best case. Moulded in medium tower form factor, Element G offers maximum airflow using two massive 200x200x20 mm front and top mounted Touchcolor fans (600~800 rpm, 12~14 dBA), single 230x230x20 mm Touchcolor side fan (600~800 rpm, 13~15 dBA), one rear 140x140x25 mm TurboFan (1000 rpm, 16 dBA), and two more optional 60 mm fans. All fans have LEDs that glow in 6 different colors, controlled by the user's preference from a front panel multifunctional knob that is also used for controlling the fan's rotation speed. Internal space allows for a Micro ATX or a standard ATX motherboard to be installed as well as up to 7x 3.5-inch HDDs and 2x 2.5-inch solid-state drives for maximum expandability. Up to three 5.25-inch optical drives or fan controllers can be installed in front of the case. When empty, the Thermaltake model VL10001W2Z weights exactly 7.92 kg. No release date neither pricing information were mentioned in the official press release, but you can expect the Thermaltake Element G to become available very soon. Find more information here.

Scythe Announces FenrisWolf PC Case

Scythe announces its first PC Case for the PC DIY market. FenrisWolf PC Case was designed by a cooperation with Germany's most famous case modder called Benjamin "benny" Franz. This cooperation is displayed by the logo "b" on the side panel. The new pc case has more to show than just a nice design, it's equipped with several popular Scythe products.

6 kg (13.23 lb) full aluminum FenrisWolf PC Case has the overall dimensions of 527 × 203 × 455 mm (20.75 × 7.99 × 17.91 inch) and is covered completely in elegant black color. It is equipped with the famous Slip Stream 120 mm case fans which are spinning at 800 rpm, generates a low noise level of 10,70 dBA and constant airflow of 40,17 CFM (68 m³/h). The fan in the front can be mounted in other 5.25" bays which allows an individual optimization of airflow.

We stopped by the In Win booth today and got a nice tour in their very detailed booth at Computex this year. First off, there are several enclosures being presented. They have the Maelstrom case, which is also the base for serveral concept cases. Then there are two mid tower cases, which are called Fanqua & Eco Chassis respectively. Both look very nice and have a sturdy finish to them.

Corsair Launches Obsidian Series 800D High-Performance Chassis

Corsair, a worldwide leader in high-performance computer and flash memory products, today at Computex 2009 announced its entry into the PC chassis category with the launch of the Corsair Obsidian Series 800D.

Xigmatek Unveils First Midgard Medium Tower PC Chassis

Cooling expert and power supply maker Xigmatek today extends its range of interests and is now officially producing computer cases too. First Xigmatek case to enter retail production is the 53 x 502 x 563 mm measuring Midgard mid tower enclosure. The steel case is all coated in black, both from the inside and the outside, and targets gamers on the low budget. Up to five 5.25-inch optical devices can be installed in the case, as well as up to five 3.5-inch hard drives, the hard drive cage is also rotated 90-degrees to save space. No instruments are needed when installing components inside the case. For maximum cooling, two 120 mm Xigmatek white LED fans come with the case, one in the front and one at the back, but there are holes for up to five more 120 mm or 140 mm fans (two on the side panel, one at the bottom of the case, and two on top). Other neat features include water cooling holes, cable management system, and a big gap in the motherboard try, for easy processor cooling manipulation. The Xigmatek Midgard is supposed to ship on June 12, 2009 for the price equivalent of 60 Euros.

Thermaltake Launches Element T Mid-Tower Chassis

Thermaltake today updated its Element series mid-tower cases to include the Element T chassis with emphasis on gamers. Key features of the Element T (part number: VK90001N2Z) case include:

  • Fan holes for 120 mm rear fan, up to 200 mm front and top fans, and a massive 230 mm side fan

NZXT Launches Beta Classic Mid-tower Chassis

NZXT has officially rolled out its Beta classic chassis, targeting value minded LAN-going gamers. The mid-tower steel case measures 200 x 430 x 501 mm and weighs around 7.28 kg. The result is a case big enough to fit four external 5.25-inch drives, 5x 3.5-inch hard drives, and large 10.5-inch performance graphics cards. Inside, the Beta case is all painted in black. For good air circulation, NZXT has prepared mouths for 4x 120 mm fans (1x front, 1x rear, and 2x side) and a meshed front panel that improves airflow. The front mounted 120 mm fan can be 38 mm thick, to maximise airflow even further.
"Given the current economic conditions, we wanted to offer gamers a sleek, sturdy case built for performance and maximum expandability without breaking the bank" said Johnny Hou, Chief Designer at NZXT. "Beta provides the perfect solution for a sub $1,000 PC and will give gamers multiple options when configuring a rig with phenomenal value."

Cooler Master Prepares Limited RC-690 Pure Black Chassis

Cooler Master plans to take another couple of hundred all black limited cases to the field. After Cooler Master Cosmos Black Limited, now it's turn for RC-690 to make its debut in black dress. Since the case is very well known to all of us, and it will be exactly the same, except for the fact that it will be all painted in black and have limited labels attached to it, I won't talk about specs. Here's a direct link to the manufacturer's page here, just in case. The Cooler Master RC-690 Pure Black is expected to become available in September.

[27/04/2009] UPDATE: We've received new info on the case. It's going to sell as an ordinary model, not as limited chassis like we first reported (forget about the limited number badges too). Also, Cooler Master said that the case will be available in June for exactly € 79.90.

Cooler Master Presents Gladiator RC-600 Mid-Tower Chassis

Cooler Master introduced last week a new mid tower chassis - Gladiator 600 (RC-600). The RC-600 is a symbiosis between Cooler Master RC-690 and CM Centurion 5, it shares the RC-690 inside design with PSU situated at the bottom of the case, and the clean, elegant all black exterior of Centurion 5. The mid-tower case ships with a front mounted 120 mm blue LED fan and a single top mounted 140 mm case fan. A total of five 120 mm fans can be installed, two more on the side panel and one at the back. Inside the case there are these little tweaks that only Cooler Master products can offer, such as the big hole around the processor socket that allows for easy CPU cooler installation, as well as the cable management system for quick cable routing.
