HIS posted placeholders on its website for various Radeon Rx 200 series products, before redacting it, but not before VideoCardz took a screengrab. The placeholders reveal nothing about the products, but their names, which include GPU name, memory (type/amount), and custom cooling solution, if any. The Radeon R9 280X IceQ X² leads the pack for HIS. There's nothing known just yet, but the listing reveals 3 GB of GDDR5 memory, and a custom cooling solution by HIS. From the R9 280X, HIS jumps straight down to the mainstream R7 250, and R7 240, with IceQ and iCooler variants of each, and variants based on slower DDR3 memory. The codename "Tahiti XTL" is floating around with the R9 280X. It could be anything from a cut-down 28 nm "Tahiti" silicon, to just a low-power variant of "Tahiti" as configured and clocked on the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. With GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost stepping up the heat, AMD partners are beginning to roll out newer Radeon HD 7850 graphics cards. HIS announced a pair of Radeon HD 7850 2GB graphics cards, featuring custom PCB and cooler designs, named HD 7850 IceQ X² and HD 7850 IceQ X² Turbo. The HD IceQ X² features AMD reference clock speeds of 860 MHz core, and 4.80 GHz memory; while the HD IceQ X² Turbo features a factory-overclocked GPU, running at 1000 MHz. Both cards feature 2 GB of memory

Both cards feature a compacted IceQ X² dual-fan cooler by HIS. The cooler uses a copper heat-pipe fed aluminum fin stack, which is ventilated by a pair of 75 mm fans. HIS claims the cooler runs at 28 dB when idling, and keeps the GPU cooler than AMD's reference design cooler. The PCB features an 8-phase VRM, which the company claims, can supply 66 percent more current than AMD's reference design PCB VRM. Pricing varies by region, but we expect the cards to be competitively priced around the GTX 650 Ti.

HIS joined the Radeon HD 7990 "Malta" party by launching its own card, which predictably, is based on AMD's reference design. Called HIS HD 7990 Fan, the card features AMD-reference clock speeds of 1000 MHz core and 6.00 GHz memory; and features the "whisper quiet" triple-fan cooling solution. The card features a pair of 28 nm "Tahiti" GPUs, each featuring 2048 stream processors, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and 384-bit wide GDDR5 memory interfaces. There is a total of 6 GB of memory on board. AMD's Never Settle Reloaded, with eight games, come included. The HIS HD 7990 Fan is expected to be priced at US $999.

HIS unveiled its first graphics card based on the brand new Radeon HD 7790 GPU, which are combines a blue AMD reference design PCB and HIS' in-house iCooler cooling solution. The card sticks to AMD reference clock speeds of 1000 MHz core and 6000 MHz memory. The iCooler is a copper core aluminum fan-heatsink, similar in design to the one XFX is using in its HD 7790 Ghost. Based on the 28 nm "Bonaire" silicon, the Radeon HD 7790 packs 896 stream processors, dual tessellation units, 56 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit GDDR5 memory interface holding 1 GB of memory; and a brand new dynamic-clock technology. The HIS HD 7790 iCooler is priced at US $149.99.

HIS gave its March-launched Radeon HD 7970 IceQ X² graphics card a design update, augmenting it with the newer Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition chip, featuring PowerTune with Boost. While the older IceQ X² shipped with 925/5500 MHz (core/memory), the new card ships with 1000 MHz core, 1050 MHz boost, and 6000 MHz memory. It packs 3 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 384-bit wide interface. The card retains its board and cooler designs, including the swanky IceQ X² heat-pipe fed dual-fan heatsink that doesn't need more than two expansion slots in your machine, and a back-plate. In all likelihood, the new card will be priced similar to the launch-price of the original, back in March (around US $450).

PowerColor's HD7990 will soon have some competition as HIS (Hightech Information System) is also going to release a graphics card powered by two AMD Tahiti chips. Dubbed Radeon HD 7970 X2 (apparently HIS doesn't want to use '7990'), this new dual-GPU card features a three-slot, dual-fan cooler, three 8-pin PCIe power connectors, a Lucidlogix PCIe switch (the PowerColor HD7990 uses a PLX bridge), a GPU clock of 1050 MHz, and 6 GB of GDDR5 memory set to 6000 MHz.

HIS' HD 7970 X2 also has dual-DVI and quad mini DisplayPort outputs. Pricing and availability are still unknown.

HIS announced the Radeon HD 7750 iCooler low-profile graphics card. The card is designed to provide mid-range DirectX 11 performance to slim form-factor (SFF) PCs, and HTPCs. The card is designed with a half-height PCB, but its active air cooler spans across two expansion slots in your system. To keep its temperatures in check, HIS opted for the older AMD reference GPU clock speed of 800 MHz. AMD recently updated that to 900 MHz. The memory is clocked at 1125 MHz (4.50 GHz GDDR5-effective).

The cooler uses a monolithic aluminum heatsink which cools the GPU, VRM, and memory chips on the obverse side of the PCB. The heatsink is ventilated by two 40 mm fans. HIS claims that the cooling solution has its noise output under 28 dBA. Display connectors include dual-link DVI, HDMI 1.4a, and D-Sub. HIS includes low-profile brackets with the card.

The latest product from HIS Digital, HIS 7970 X, set a new overclock world record. 4 x HIS 7970 X at 1480/1910MHz achieved 84669 marks on 3Dmark Vantage record. The 4 HIS 7970 X cards performed to its best with HKEPC OC Lab's sophisticated "Tin Shui Wai" System. According to John Lam, the Team Captain as well as a renowned overclocker, "Tin Shui Wai" is a LN2 Chilled Water Cooling System, modified from "Kingpin F1" to provide the most stable Subzero Cooling for 4 Way HIS 7970 X Crossfire".

Besides the sophisticated overclocking equipment, it was the sleek and sophisticated design and vivid LED lighting of the system that captured the attention of industry experts. We knew back in May, that PowerColor isn't the only AMD AIB partner with a custom-design dual-HD 7970 graphics card (≠ HD 7990) in the works, and that other partners are also attempting high-end dual-GPU designs. We got to see one of those at Computex, courtesy of HIS. Called the HIS HD 7970 X2 IceQ X2, is a 100% custom-design (cooler and PCB) dual-GPU graphics card, which makes use of two 28 nm "Tahiti" GPUs in an internal CrossFire configuration.

Like the PowerColor HD 7970 X2 Devil 13, the HIS HD 7970 X2 IceQ X2 draws power from three 8-pin PCIe power connectors, and packs two "Tahiti" GPUs with all components enabled. The two GPUs could have clock speeds higher than even single-GPU HD 7970, although HIS did not finalize them. HIS implemented a super-sized triple-slot variation of its otherwise dual-slot IceQ X2 cooler. Its card has a different display output configuration from PowerColor's, with one dual-link DVI, and four mini-DisplayPorts. Earlier today, we confirmed that PowerColor's card will reach the market only by late-July. HIS, on the other hand, wants to beat PowerColor to it, and is confident of launching the industry's first HD 7970 X2.

HIS is ready with a fanless Radeon HD 7750 graphics card that utilizes the company's iSilence 5 cooling solution, which is used on the recently-launched HD 6670 iSilence 5. The cooler consists of a swanky-looking aluminum fin stack to which heat is conveyed by four 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes, which make direct contact with the GPU die. The heat is then passively dissipated by the aluminum fins.

The HIS Radeon HD 7750 iSilence 5 sticks to AMD reference clock speeds. The 28 nm "Cape Verde" GPU, in the HD 7750 configuration, packs 512 Graphics CoreNext stream processors, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 1 GB of memory. The card relies on the PCI-Express slot entirely for its power. Display outputs include one each of dual-link DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. HIS is expected to unveil the card at Computex, after which, it joins the league of passive Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards such as PowerColor HD 7750 Go Green and Sapphire HD 7750 Ultimate.

HIS launched its newest custom-design Radeon HD 7770 graphics card, the HD 7770 IceQ X iTurbo X. The card comes with factory-overclocked speeds of 1170 MHz core, and 1250 MHz (5.00 GHz effective) memory, against AMD reference speeds of 1000/1125 MHz (core/memory). Based on the 28 nm "Cape Verde" silicon, Radeon HD 7770 packs 640 Graphics CoreNext stream processors, and is wired to 1 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit wide interface.

The card features HIS IceQ X cooling solution, which is a slight variation of the one featured on its previous-generation HD 6770 IceQ X (changes in color, heatsink shape, heat-pipe shape). Apart from a mostly black-colored cooler shroud, the card also appears to feature a black-colored PCB. The card draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include two each of DVI and mini-DisplayPort, and an HDMI port.

Although the recent round of price-cuts by AMD covered mainly three SKUs, the HD 7970, HD 7950, and HD 7770; HIS put together its own list of price-cuts covering all Radeon HD 7000 series SKUs launched by it, including its non-reference design and overclocked ones. The new prices (in EUR, incl. taxes) are listed below.

Both cards use new HIS IceQ iTurbo cooling solution, which consists of a lateral-airflow design. From the GPU base, two 6 mm-thick and two 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat-pipes arise, conveying heat to a small but dense aluminum channel array. A lateral-flow blower directs air through these channels, where heat dissipation takes place. Unfortunately, with the way this cooling solution is designed, you require three expansion slot bays in you chassis you accommodate one of these cards (check out the top-view picture). The cards use AMD reference-design PCBs that are colored blue, to match HIS IceQ color-scheme. HIS did not give out pricing information.

HIS today launched two new graphics cards models based on the AMD Radeon HD 7970 GPU, the HIS HD 7970 IceQ X² (model: H797QM3G2M), and HIS HD IceQ X² Turbo (model: H797QMT3G2M). The two differ by clock speeds, with the former sticking to AMD reference clock speeds of 925 MHz (core) with 5.50 GHz (memory eff.), while the latter is overclocked out of the box, with 1050 MHz (core) and 5.60 GHz (memory eff.).

Both models use HIS' newest IceQ X² cooling solution, which uses a three 6 mm and two 8 mm nickel-plated copper heat pipes to convey heat drawn directly from the GPU die, to a dense aluminum fin array, which is ventilated by two quiet high-airflow fans. Both cards use blue-colored AMD reference-design PCBs to gel with the IceQ theme. HIS did not give out pricing or availability information.

HIS is working on a new custom-design Radeon HD 7970 graphics card, based on its newest cooling innovation, the HIS HD 7970 IceQ X². This is the first cooling solution in the IceQ family to feature two fans. It is designed to be competitive with several other AIB-designed twin-fan cooling solutions out there, MSI TwinFrozr III, PowerColor PCS+, and Sapphire Dual-Fan, to name a few. The cooler is designed to keep the card within the dimensions of two expansion slots, while increasing the height just a little.

The design consists of an aluminum fin array, to which heat is fed by three 6 mm and two 8 mm nickel-plated copper heat pipes, some of which make direct contact with the GPU die. The fin array is then ventilated by two large 112 mm fans that feature high-airflow blades. The design results in 17 °C cooler, and 15 dB quieter operation than AMD reference cooler. Here is the first GPU-Z screenshot of a Radeon HD 7950 graphics card. The device ID checks out with the one HD 7950 has been associated with. Most other features match expectations. The HD 7950 is carved out of the 28 nm "Tahiti" GPU, with 28 GCN compute units (CUs) active, totaling 1,792 stream processors and 112 TMUs. The ROP count is untouched at 32, so is the memory, that's 3 GB GDDR5 across a 384-bit wide memory interface. With a memory clock of 5.00 GHz effective, it's churning out 240 GB/s of memory bandwidth. It's just the core clock speed where we weren't on target (from the previously-expected 800 MHz), either 880 MHz is the reference core clock speed of HD 7950, or this particular card is a factory-OC variant (PowerColor HD 7950 PCS?).
