MAXSUN and DIY-APE revealed a collaborative motherboard model last November, as noticed by members of the TPU community—the H770YTX D5 WIFI Terminator board attracted attention due to its unusually wide (for the ITX class) dimensions. The Terminator's "YTX" form factor—245 × 175 mm—provides some extra room for backside power connectors, additional storage connectors and M.2 storage slots. A past weekend ITHome report has revealed that MAXSUN's fairly compact mid-range part is launching today via a JD.com store listing—release date pricing is 899 RMB (~$126).

The spec sheet matches previously released information—ITHome stated: "(MAXSUN's) Terminator H770 YTX motherboard uses 8+1+1 phase power supply, supports (Intel's) 12th, 13th, and 14th generation Core processors, PL2 can reach 253 W performance release, and also supports dual-channel DDR5 8000 memory. This motherboard has rich interfaces, with three Type-C interfaces at the front and rear. The PCIe 5.0 slot supports 8+8 split, provides four M.2 slots, SFF-8654 interfaces, and supports four SATA hard drives. It is equipped with Realtek Sound card and network card." They note that MAXSUN has another YTX form factor board in its back catalog—the H610 KING was an early 2023 release, in collaboration with partner brand DIY-APE.

Thermaltake continued its unveiling of new CTE C-series chassis models at CES 2024—TPU staff took a closer look at the C200 the other day. This is a dual-chamber ITX chassis available in black or "Snow" white; it utilizes Thermaltake's Centralized Thermal Efficiency (CTE) Form Factor design. According to the C200 spec sheet, PC builders can customize the interior with (up to) 6 x 120 mm case fans, there is also enough room for a single 280 mm AIO radiator.

MSI has updated its GeForce RTX portfolio with the latest RTX 4060 lineup of graphics cards. Based on the AD107 GPU, the RTX 4060 series of SKUs is expected to become available for order on June 29, 6 AM Pacific time. MSI didn't show off its GeForce RTX 4060 designs until now, when they updated their website with four SKUs featuring a common theme: minimal RGB illumination across the GPU. There are two GeForce RTX GAMING SKUs, GAMING X and the regular GAMING model. With the regular non-X model featuring an "Extreme Performance" boost of 2475 MHz, the normal boost is set to 2460 MHz. The GAMING X SKU has a bit faster clock speed, as the factory overclock pushed Extreme Performance to 2610 MHz and boosts to 2595 MHz.

Last but not least, we have the VENTUS 2X BLACK and VENTUS 2X BLACK OC. These cards are lower-end SKUS compared to the GAMING duo and feature a smaller design compared to them as well. Measuring at 199 mm, these cards are almost ITX-sized, which is impressive considering that two fans are cooling the GPU heatsink. International buyers will be disappointed to learn that the pink Ampere card is a China market exclusive, with the company only offering a limited number of products on JD.com. During Computex 2023, EK Water Blocks, a company known for making all kinds of liquid cooling solutions, showed off a concept case in partnership with InWin. Called 977EK, the concept case is a pre-production model that centers around the idea of a brushed aluminium shell combined with tempered glass panels. The case is made out of the internal structure, and for the outside, the two brushed aluminium sheets meet in the back and at the bottom of the case, removing the visible lines of the 4 mm thick aluminium sheets meeting, improving aesthetics. On the sides, the case carries two tempered glass panels held by thumb screws in the corners. An odd shape perforates the top part of the aluminium sheet.

The internal structure is interesting, as the case is built for water cooling of the system. While the motherboard tray can support any format from Mini-ITX to E-ATX, the tray itself can be rotated, reversed, and removed entirely based on user preference. For radiator setup, the 977EK concept case can accommodate up to 420 mm radiators with 45 mm thickness at both the top and bottom of the chassis. Additionally, the case has support for 350 mm GPU, 7 or 8 PCIe slots (depending on the configuration), a PSU of 160 mm length, and an option for either one 3.5-inch drive bay or two 2.5-inch bays. The final production case will see some changes, as EK notes; however, they won't be too significant.

Sparkle, a Taiwanese computer electronics maker, is again entering the GPU market after almost ten years of inactivity in the space. A while back, Sparkle was one of NVIDIA's original Add-In Board (AIB) partners and helped them launch the GeForce 7900 PCI GPU. The company continued to make NVIDIA-based GPUs until GTX 700 series in 2013. After a decade, Sparkle is back again with ambitions to be Intel's AIB partner and announced not one but three graphics cards to start. Called A750 Titan, A750 Orc, and A380 Elf, these cards feature triple-fan, dual-fan, and single-fan coolers, respectively.

The first in line is the Sparkle A750 Titan, a triple-fan, 2.5-slot design based on Intel Arc A750 GPU. Featuring 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, this top-end A750 SKU is clocked at 2300 MHz, up from the factory's 2050 MHz frequency. ASRock will announce no fewer than thirteen motherboard models based on the upcoming Intel Z790 chipset, the top chipset option for the 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" desktop processors. "Raptor Lake" is backwards-compatible with Intel 600-series chipset motherboards; and the Z790 is expected to support 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake" processors, since both generations share Socket LGA1700. ASRock's lineup is led by the Z790 Taichi, and its variant that features a white-marble finish, the Z790 Taichi Carrara, several models in the Phantom Gaming (PG) series, including the PG Riptide, PG-ITX/TB4, and new extensions including the PG Sonic, and PG Lightning.
