BIOSTAR today introduced the B660T-Silver, a Socket LGA1700 motherboard in the Mini-ITX form-factor, based on the Intel B660 chipset. The board wires a 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake" processor with DDR4 memory, and a PCI-Express 5.0 x16 slot. It draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors, and uses a 9-phase CPU VRM. Up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory is supported, at overclocked speeds of up to DDR4-5000.

Storage connectivity of the BIOSTAR B660T-Silver includes four SATA 6 Gbps ports, and two M.2-2280 slots with PCI-Express 4.0 x4 wiring, one of which is connected to the CPU, and the other from the B660 PCH. As we approach the next generation of AMD's Ryzen processors, accompanying chipsets will follow the launch of their main co-host device. Enabling different levels of features across the new processor generation, chipset versions are limiting the number of options a platform offers to the end-user. AMD is designing its motherboard chipsets in collaboration with a Taiwanese design firm ASMedia. They usually develop a few chipset types covering low-end, middle-end, and high-end motherboards segments. However, it seems like the high-end motherboard segment could be populated with the same silicon as the middle-end section of the chipset stack; note a few Chinese forum members on BiliBili.

As they note, the high-end AMD X670 chipset could be a multi-chip module (MCM) design incorporating two middle-end B650 chipsets. A combination of two B650 dies is allegedly forming an X670 chipset, and that is what AMD could force motherboard makers to use. By doing so, the Mini-ITX motherboard form factor could be challenging to design and manufacture, meaning that the package of the X670 chipset could be rather extensive. This rumor should, of course, be taken with a massive grain of salt as we don't know how this would function. However, it financially makes sense as AMD wouldn't need to design and request manufacturing for an additional chipset variant.

AZZA, a leading brand of computer cases and accessories, introduces the REGIS 902. This luxury case is uniquely designed with a cube form factor, elevated above the surface by a premium aluminium stand, and has an infinity mirror addressable RGB front panel. The exterior is complemented with black tinted tempered glass panels and two brushed aluminium mesh panels with a touch of gold trim on the edges. ATX motherboard compatible, the REGIS supports up to 336 mm long GPUs and dual 240/280 radiators.

The REGIS has 3-sided black tinted tempered glass panels, two sides for displaying the system, and the front for featuring an infinity mirror addressable RGB which uses an ultra-thin lighting module. The addressable RGB can be controlled via the case button, or synchronized with any motherboard software. At the bottom, two anodized and brushed aluminium panels with large mesh openings complete the frame of the Regis. Each panel is mounted on snap pins for tool-less removal. In addition, golden trims on 4 of the edges highlight the luxurious look of the cube.

AMD is expected to announce their Radeon RX 6600 graphics card on October 13th according to leaked documents. The graphics card will feature a cut-down Navi 23 GPU with 28 Compute Units and 1,792 stream processors compared to 32 and 2,048 on the RX 6600 XT. The card has also been revealed to feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 14 Gbps on a 128-bit memory bus. The first images of cards from board partners including XFX, ASRock, and PowerColor have been published by VideoCardz covering 5 different RX 6600 models.

The XFX Speedster SWFT 210 features a unique shorter PCB design with a relocated 8-pin power connector in addition to a redesigned backplate which differs from the RX 6600 XT model. PowerColor appears to be releasing Hellhound and Fighter models with identical designs as their RX 6600 XT counterparts featuring 2-slot cooling and single 8-pin power connectors. ASRock is preparing two Challenger series models both sharing the same PCB with the single-fan Challenger ITX and dual-fan Challenger D. These new cards will reportedly match the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 according to a leaked internal benchmark.

BIOSTAR has started teasing a new motherboard lineup to accompany the launch of Intel's Z500 series chipsets, which will offer support for the company's upcoming 11th gen Rocket Lake-S CPUs.
