Logitech Announces Keys-To-Go 2, Ultra-Portable Wireless Keyboard

Logitech today has unveiled its Keys-To-Go 2, an ultra-portable wireless keyboard designed for tablets, mobile devices and laptops. It features a built-in cover to protect it from damage or spills, while the slim, lightweight design makes this keyboard easy to pack and go. Tailored for mobile computing, Keys-To-Go 2 is multi-OS compatible, so users can effortlessly work, learn, and create from any device, any location, at any time.

"In today's fast-paced world, staying productive while on-the-go is essential," said Joseph Mingori, general manager of mobile solutions and partnerships at Logitech. "We understand the challenges that mobile professionals face and their desire to find solutions that allow them to carry less and do more from anywhere. Keys-To-Go 2 is a highly-personal device that creates an ideal workspace, wherever your workspace may be."

Zalman Keyboards, Fans, and PSUs at Computex 2024

While cases dominated the Zalman booth at Computex 2024, the company also had several cooling and power solutions to show off. We begin our tour with the TGR Lena, an ergonomic keyboard with a Split Alice tenkeyless layout. This TKL layout isn't exactly 80%, as the keyboard lacks a function key row. To the left of the QWERTY cluster is a set of macro keys, the keyboard on display had keycaps from Zalman's Rubrehose collection. The TGR Jane V3 Rubrehose Edition is a limited production run keycap set meant for buyers of the GMK Rubrehose Edition TKL keyboard.

Switching gears, and the only new cooling product we could spot at Zalman's Computex 2024 booth, are the new ZM-AF120 series case fans. These come in black and white trims, both with frosted white impellers, and addressable RGB LED illumination. The fan takes in 4-pin PWM for its main function, turns between 600 and 2,000 RPM, pushing 69.12 CFM of airflow, at a maximum noise output of 29.7 dBA. It takes in 3-pin ARGB for the lighting. The fans feature hydro-dynamic bearings, which are generally rated for high endurance.

NuPhy Keyboards at 2024 Computex: The Cyberpunk HE-Series, Air-Series, and Neon-Series

NuPhy is a bespoke gaming and studio keyboard brand, which brought several popular keyboard models from its lineup to Computex 2024. The HE-series is the most cyberpunk-looking of the lot, with its aluminium handle, alloy body, a metal programmable scrollwheel and a few physical knobs. Every functional aspect of the keyboard is configurable, including the keycaps, custom-sized buttons, knobs, and the key switches themselves. The keyboard features a massive 4000 mAh battery, and electronics that support 8000 Hz interface polling rate. 2.4 GHz is the faster wireless interface, Bluetooth is the more convenient albeit slower interface, and then there's always USB.

The Neon series is an interesting disaggregated 85% format keyboard. The 60% portion of it is disjointed from the Numpad that has a knob. Both portions connect to the PC as two separate keyboards. The Halo series is a 65% keyboard meant for high-comfort productivity and gaming. The example shown has a UK ISO layout, but you can order the keyboard with US ANSI, or any popular international layout. The Gem series are compact Tenkeyless keyboards with an aluminium body, and matching keycaps. The NuFolio is a compact 55% keyboard meant to be paired with tablets, such as the iPad Pro. The Halo 75 V2 is built on the same essential design philosophy as the Gem, but in a 75% layout.

Akko and MonsGeek Brings New M1 V3 Keyboard, Switches and Other Models at Computex 2024

It's all about keyboards in Akko / Mons Geek's Computex 2024 booth, where they have on display the full range of mechanical keyboards already on sale, the new M1 V3 keyboard, new Pro switches, an all-wooden keyboard (case and keys), the premium Year of the Dragon keyboard, and a prototype all-resin keyboard. MonsGeek's M1 V3 mechanical aluminium keyboard with magnetic switches is the newest model available in a 75% format with 82 keys, featuring a multimedia control knob and extended color options. From Akko's side we have new the V3 Creamy Purple Pro 5-pin switches (priced at $0.22 each), standing out with a 3 mm total travel (2 mm pre-travel) and a 30 g operating force. With a 55 g tactile force, these switches offer smoothness and precision with a distinct, smooth sound.

Keychron Showcases the Q HE Magnetic and B Pro Series Wireless Keyboards

Keychron prides itself in bringing the typing comfort and performance of gaming keyboards to the productivity and creator space. At the 2024 Computex, the company showed us their latest performance productivity keyboards. The first of these is the Q HE. This keyboard features magnetic switches for configurable actuation point; hot-swappable keyswitches and keycaps, a gasket mounting design for the switches; a CNC milled aluminium unibody, and 1000 Hz interface polling rate. This is a wireless keyboard, and features both 2.4 GHz RF (better latencies) and Bluetooth (more convenient). You can even plug it in and use it as a wired keyboard. The model shown is optimized for Macs, as you can tell from the Command keys, but there is a physical switch to enable a "Windows mode," which turns the Command keys to Win keys.

The Keychron B Pro series is a lightweight keyboard, with low-profile keys that use scissor-type mechanical keyswitches. The keyboard is barely half a centimeter thick, and since there's no lighting, the battery life is as high as 9 months. Interfaces include USB (type-C), 2.4 GHz RF, and Bluetooth. Just like the Q HE, this keyboard is Mac-friendly, and a switch lets you toggle between Mac and Windows modes.

Wooting 80HE Keyboard Pictured at Computex 2024

Wooting are the pioneers of of analog keyboards—keyboards where a keystroke isn't a 0 or 1; but rather quantifiable based on the key travel. The keyboard can measure the travel of a key in increments of 0.1 mm. Besides the numerous applications of such a technology in gaming and creative work, the keyboard also allows you to configure the exact actuation point of each key—something a regular "digital" mechanical keyboard can't. The new Wooting 80HE is an 80% version of the original Wooting One, and has all the keys you'd expect in a TKL (tenkeyless) layout. Every key is individually RGB illuminated. The keyboard's electronics support 8000 Hz USB polling rate, for a 0.125 ms response time. The Wooting booth had an instrument set up, which could let you see the actual analog motion of the keystroke.

Ajazz at Computex 2024: Keyboards with Large Touchscreens, OLED Control Decks, Magnesium Alloy Mouse

Ajazz had a brisk show in its Computex 2024 booth, with the main attractions being keyboards with large touchscreens. The first one is a low-profile mechanical keyboard with a 5-inch (well, 4.9-inch) true-color capacitive touchscreen. The keyboard has physical dimensions comparable to the 85% format, but has a 75% layout, with that touchscreen located where you'd expect the Numpad to be. But that's not the strangest contraption, it's actually the Smart Screen Mechanical keyboard. This is also a 75% keyboard, but with a 10.1-inch rectangular screen with a crazy aspect ratio. You plug the keyboard to your PC, and this display as an HDMI device, and basically give yourself a second screen that prove useful for mapping macros in games, or even during creative work. It's just that the keyboard looks like a computer from the 1980s.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect about these keyboards with touchscreens, is that they're not all that expensive. The keyboard with the 10.1-inch screen, for example, is priced under $50. It's quite possible to pull off these prices if you're digging into the spare parts bins of smartphones. Don't need the big touchscreens? Ajazz has one with a tiny LED segment display.

The MONTECH MKey PRO 75% keyboard, available in Darkness and Freedom editions, is a versatile compact (323 x 137 x 45 mm) mechanical keyboard, featuring built-in tri-mode connectivity options: Bluetooth 5.2, Wireless 2.4Ghz, and USB-C wired. The MKey PRO 75% Darkness features pre-lubed Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow switches, while the PRO 75% Freedom utilizes Gateron G Pro 3.0 Brown switches. i-Rocks K10M Battle Boarder is Tenkeyless with a Twist, Various Other 85% and 60% Keyboards Showcased

i-Rocks at the 2024 Computex showed us an interesting take on tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboards. The main QWERTY cluster is where it should be, but has Function keys above it instead of the number keys, which is a break-out module that you can position either above or below. The arrow keys, along with the INS/DEL/Home/End/PageUp/PageDn cluster is now on the left side, where they're more accessible for competitive gaming.

This particular model is wired, with a USB-C/A interface. The K85H by i-Rocks is an 85% format keyboard with Hall Effect key switches, and a physical volume dial. The K104H is a 60% wireless keyboard with the same technology, but a higher 800 Hz wireless polling rate. The K73 series and K74 series span the conventional 100% format. The K85R is a step up from the K85H, but with a tiny OLED screen.

Ducky Channel Shows Us Their One X Wireless Keyboard and Year of the Dragon Special Edition

Ducky is one of the oldest manufacturers of mechanical gaming keyboards, both as a manufacturing partner for other brands, and for its own first-party brand. The company brought two of its latest wireless keyboards to Computex 2024, with the new One X coming in full-size and 60% versions. Both sizes feature fully hot-swappable key switches and keycaps. The keyboards use inductive analog switches with rapid trigger, which forms part of the Ducky QUACK Mechanics+ architecture, along with 7-layer keystroke dampening. You can connect the One X in three ways—USB (both type-A and type-C) for the least latency, RF wireless (lower latency wireless but which requires the included dongle), and Bluetooth (convenient).

The Ducky 65% Year of the Dragon limited edition mechanical keyboard is a work of art, with its two-tone aluminium body, Chinese cultural inscriptions across the body, and an oriental crystal keycap set resembling Mahjong blocks framed by clear acrylic. The keyboard features a Soaring Dragon inscription, along with a special set of Esc and Spacebar keycaps with the Seal of the Dragon. Under the hood, the keyboard gets German-made Cherry MX2A Purple RGB switches, which are hot-swappable. Ducky plans to make only 999 pieces of the Year of the Dragon.

ASUS seems to tease gamers with "extremes", this being the case for its new ROG Azoth Extreme gaming keyboard that will hit the shelves later this year. Featuring, under an aluminium alloy compact-size chassis with a metal frame a full-color OLED touchscreen, a carbon fiber positioning plate (better typing feel, acoustics and reduced keystroke vibrations), extended silicone wrist rest, magnetic feet, an adjustable gasket mount, this new addition to the ROG Azoth series possesses interesting qualities for gamers looking to get the best action.

Microsoft Has Lost its Mind—$450 for a Keyboard, AI Button Included

During yesterday's Microsoft Event, in addition to the new AI features and Surface devices, the company also announced its new Surface Pro Flex wireless keyboard, compatible with the Surface Pro 8, 9, 10, and 11 models. Officially called "Surface Pro Flex Keyboard with Slim Pen," the wireless keyboard is a $449.98 add-on keyboard that doesn't include Microsoft's Surface Slim Pen 2, only an indentation at the top of the keyboard to charge it. So, without a pen, what does the keyboard offer? According to Microsoft, up to 41 hours of continuous typing while detached, a dedicated Copilot key, and a touchpad with a vibration function for haptic feedback. The touchpad can have varying pressure levels, and applications can use it to build different functionalities.

Its thin and light design measures 289x221x5.25 mm with a weight of 340 g. The dedicated Copilot key summons the AI assistant and all the functionality Microsoft plans for its Windows 11 integration, which has been completely revamped for AI. The material choice is a Alcantara polyester-blend, which can be difficult for maintenance, and the keyboard is sold in either black or bright sapphire colors, becoming available on June 18th. Interestingly, given the name "Surface Pro Flex Keyboard with Slim Pen" and a price tag of $449.98, it is intriguing as to why Microsoft doesn't bundle the Surface Slim Pen 2 with the keyboard, as it is designed with a dedicated wireless charging indentation for the pen.
