Viewsonic Quietly Intros 24-inch VG2427 1080p LCD Monitor

A day ago Viewsonic quietly added the VG2427 24-inch model to its range of LCD monitors. The VG2427 boasts native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels with 16:9 aspect ratio. The panel has a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio as well as 300cd/m2 brightness. The monitor's stand is height-adjustable, also hidden are two stereo speakers and a USB hub with pair of USB 2.0 ports.Priced at $499, the Viewsonic VG2427 is available for purchase now.

That's exactly how things are and ViewSonic is not only launching a 22-inch 3D display today, but it is also presenting a portable 3D projector. ViewSonic Showcases First 120Hz 22-inch LCD Display at NVISION 2008

ViewSonic, best known for its iPod loving LCD monitors, has demonstrated its first 120Hz desktop LCD technology today at NVIDIA's NVISION 08 event in San Jose, California. The 22-inch ViewSonic VX2265wm prototype delivers exactly twice the refresh rate of most current LCDs (60Hz) and eliminates the blurring, ghosting, and other side effects that usually occur during fast-moving scenes. The 120Hz VX2265wm claims to have a response time of 3ms Motion Picture Response Time (MPRT), a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and 2x2W stereo speakers. "ViewSonic continues to deliver innovative technology that leads and supports the growing trends and demands in digital entertainment," said Jeff Volpe, vice president of Global Brand and Emerging Technologies, ViewSonic. "The 120Hz technology will deliver superb front-of-screen performance and will drive new standards in desktop entertainment igniting the next evolution in digital viewing capabilities." The first displays with ViewSonic's 120Hz technology are expected later in the year at select resellers, retailers and etailers. Pricing is not yet available.

Today ViewSonic not only unveiled seven displays in VX and VA series but also announced Diamani DUO, a widescreen high-definition hybrid PC/TV LCD. The 19-inch NX1932w and 22-inch NX2232w can be used both as HDTV television set or as conventional computer monitor. Providing an entertainment experience with outstanding picture quality for everyone from movie enthusiasts to computer and console fanatics, the displays feature a fast 5 ms response time (typ), 2400:1 dynamic contrast ratio (typ) and wide viewing angles. The PC/TV displays have six inputs, including RGB analog, TV/cable, composite S-Video and HDMI (with HDCP and audio support), for connecting to PCs, gaming consoles, camcorders, DVD players, cable or satellite boxes and digital media players. Available immediately, the Diamani DUO NX1932w and NX2232w have estimated street prices of $349 and $399 respectively, and will be sold through authorized ViewSonic retailers. ViewSonic Introduces Seven New LCD Monitors

ViewSonic Corp. updated today both its VA and VX series of LCD monitors, bringing total of 7 new LCDs. People looking for affordable, high-quality desktop monitors from ViewSonic can now look at the 4:3 19-inch VA926, widescreen 19-inch VA1926w, 20-inch VA2026w and 22-inch (21.6-inch visible) VA2226w displays. Starting at an estimated street price (ESP) of $229, the new displays offer a 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (typ), 300 nits of brightness and ClearMotiv 5ms fast response time. ViewSonic also launched today three new VX widescreen LCD monitors addressed to professionals. The VX1940w and VX2240w will be available in November with estimated street prices of $249 and $349 respectively, while the VX1932wm will be priced at $249 and available in October. ViewSonic Showcases Swarovski VX2255wmb/h LCD Monitor

At this year's Comex Show, ViewSonic Singapore in collaboration with Swarovski Crystal will be showcasing 22" VX2255wmb/h LCD display assembled with jewellery. The unique ViewSonic displays will be covered in Swarovski gems, offering custom incrusted face-lift choices for the customers. The 22-inch widescreen display comes with 1680x1050 resolution, 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 160/160 viewing angle, built-in stereo speakers, microphone, and 1.3 mega pixel webcam. The Comex Show will take place from 30 August to 2 September at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre. ViewSonic will be located on Level 6, booth 6136.

ViewSonic Wins Vista Certification

ViewSonic said recently that its LCD monitors have won certification for the Windows Vista operating system (OS). New LCD monitors from ViewSonic shipped since December are compliant with Windows Vista, with the new models including the entry-level VA-series, graphics-use VG-series, professional-use VP-series and design-oriented VX-series, according to Alan Chang, vice president of ViewSonic for Asia-Pacific sales and marketing.
