Radeon HD 5870 X2
AMD is saving the best for the last. Codenamed "Hemlock", Radeon HD 5870 X2 is a dual-GPU accelerator based on two fully-loaded Cypress GPUs. Slated for later this year, the card will begin sampling in November. Looking at AMD's own performance figures for HD 5870 2-way CrossFire, there's every indication of this being a monstrous graphics card. AMD did not officially present this card or its specifications yet, but a picture of it shows it to be not much longer than a HD 5870. The HD 5870 PCB itself have many wide open spaces. There's enough room for it to lengthen a little bit, and make room for two GPU systems. Since the power specifications of HD 5870 shows reasons to be optimistic, Hemlock is all the more possible, while not really ending up as a power-guzzling card.
