Packaging
Like all Corsair cases of late, the Obsidian 450D ships in a plain cardboard box, with a picture of the chassis on the front. Turn the package around and you will come across a blow-up diagram of the chassis. Both side panels feature a detailed specifications list and some carrying holes.
The case itself is secured inside the box by two sturdy Styrofoam spacers, and a plastic bag has been placed over the case to protect it from fingerprints and scratches.

You will not get a lot of different screws with the Obsidian 450D, but Corsair does sort them nicely by type, and you do get four zip ties. While a nice addition, more zip ties would have been great. Lastly, there is a simple pamphlet that tells you to go to their website for a download of the full instruction manual. While this is not a big deal for experienced builders, first-time assemblers may at least need a basic manual. That crowd may miss the hard-copy sorely while putting together their system.
