The GSkill TridentX F3-1600C7Q-32GTX kit is a pretty decent option if you want high capacity at minimal operating voltage and latency. Its high capacity unfortunately comes at a high price if you do not take its overlocked performance into account. That is just it with large-density sticks – their high TRFC values make achieving the same performance as dual-sided 4 GB DIMMs impossible, no matter how much everything else matches up. That sucks, but hey, what can you do?
Ýou can ignore its stock performance by looking at its huge overclocking potential and thinking about that for a moment, although 4 GB sticks will still be faster. You are definitely better off looking at 16 GB kits if you only need 16 GB or less, but its performance is not a big deal to me because I like to overlock my memory.
If you like to overclock memory like I do, this kit is an interesting option. It is not the best kit out there, but nor is it the most expensive. It scales up clock speeds incredibly well and manages to keep timings fairly tight while doing so, and does so without a lot of voltage. I actually feel as though this kit has not been pushed to its maximum yet, and that my CPU's memory controller is holding it back a bit. Few kits out there can make that claim, and those that do have a special spot on my shelf.
