The MK Fission has the potential to be a game changer in my books. Boasting an inventory of 18 options to choose from, it is perhaps the best bang for your buck if you wanted to try out the Cherry MX Green or MX Clear option which I only hear good things about. It also features the new Cherry MX switches which were Corsair exclusives until recently, meaning you can now access them without having to pay for CUE or fancier lighting.
That is not to say that this is a barebones keyboard, oh no. If anything, the combination of white backlighting and an RGB accent bar is something I personally think is the best compromise of lighting and reasonable cost, although I can respect that this may also seem like a middle of nowhere approach for others. It helps then, that the two lighting options can be controlled independently and without the need for any software, while having memory onboard to save the settings. As such, the MK Fission is also the least expensive, easily available keyboard for those not commonly found switches even when considering no RGB options anywhere.
Build quality, stock keycaps and the 2-year warranty all make this a win in my opinion. There are some caveats, but to say that I had to think about listing cons sums it up. I am strongly considering getting one of these in MX Green or MX Clear switches myself to test them out, and I encourage you to strongly consider this yourself.
