The side cover has no window. My personal opinion is that windows have been overdone at lot and are nothing special anymore.
The honeycombs look great and add to the clean style of the case. After unlocking the lock with the same key that locks the front door you can pull the cover toward the front of the case and then completely remove it.
The side cover is held in place by two thumbscrews. The cover on the other side has regular screws since it will be rarely removed anyway.
