The UL certification number E319019 reveals that this PSU is made by X-Spice Technology Co. Ltd.



Tested on: AMD Athlon64 FX-62 @ 2800 MHz, ABIT AT8, 2x 512 MB DDR400, WD Raptor 36 GB, Radeon X1900 XTX + Radeon X1900 XTX Crossfire

If you look at above graph you can see some temperature drift of the voltages. 12V is drifting down, 5V is drifting up and 3.3V is drifting down again. This is caused by components warming up over the duration of the test which changes the output voltage slightly.


The ripple voltage is among the best I've ever seen with only 8.80 mV from peak to peak.


For easier comparison between power supplies we put the (normalized) line regulation standard deviation into graphs.



Standard deviation is a statistical term, which tells how far away from the average the measurements are. In other words it's the average of the average.
A large standard deviation indicates that the data points are far from the average and a small standard deviation indicates that they are close within the average.
So the smaller the standard deviation is, the better the line regulation.

Quad-CrossFireX Test

Since a lot of nay-sayers will now say "but it's only 530W" I decided to hook the X-Spice Kira up to a Quad CF rig composed of two HD 3870X2 cards and a Core 2 Duo.



Even with 3DMark running at maximum settings non-stop the system was rock stable - and the PSU fan was still extremely quiet. Also I would like to mention the fact that the PSU casing barely got warm.
