Corsair Announces World's First High-Performance Quad Channel 32GB Memory Kit
Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced the world's first high-performance quad channel Dominator 32GB DDR3 memory kit.
The Dominator 32GB Quad Channel kit (part number CMT32GX3M4X1866C9) consists of four rigorously-screened 8GB DDR3 DRAM modules with Corsair's patented DHX+ heatsinks. It operates at 1.5V and is designed to run at 1866MHz, with 9-10-9-27 C9 timing. Corsair has compatibility tested the new 32GB Quad Channel kit with upcoming quad channel platforms as well as current dual channel platforms."The new Dominator 32GB Quad Channel memory kit is designed for high-performance PC enthusiasts using the latest motherboards, whether they're overclockers, gamers, or simply want a large amount of state-of-the-art memory," said Thi La, Vice President of Memory Products at Corsair. "Corsair is a market leader in high-performance memory, and we're pleased to be first to market with a high-performance 32GB quad channel kit."
The Dominator 32GB Quad Channel kit will be available in October from authorized Corsair retailers and etailers worldwide for a US MSRP of $999.

It just really really makes me wonder..... 16GB of Vengeance is what $100USD now roughly??? To double that is almost 10x the price... WTF!?! Can someone say markup????
The problem with these and the other Corsair 8GB sticks (single stick) is that those ridiculous and unnecessary heatsinks make it impossible to install in a system with a low profile heatsink.
We received some 4gb crucial sticks at work and they are $329 a stick.
We also got a 16GB kit for laptops that's $450. Just thought RAM was supposed to be getting cheaper.
First, the MF-SE is DDR2, and second it doesn't even support 32GB. Marketing fail.
Give it 6-12 months and they will be cheap as chips.
I just don't get it...unless this is like GFX cards and all anyone sees is how big and shiny it is, and all the bragging rights for having the biggest and fastest...despite whether any of that speed or capacity is actually put to work.
That motherboard can't be DDR2 as then the DDR3 ram wouldn't even fit, do to pin layout. but still a crappy board to show off on.
Note also the speed of this RAM. Coupled with the high density, this can be great for VERY memory intensive stuff. I have to admit to fully use this RAM, one CPU might not cut it though (I'm talking 64GB configuration. 32GB just buy an 8 slot and 8x4GB)
I thought this is the 32gb memory chips from Samsung in a Corsair branded stick.
For this price it is really disappointing, not 2133mhz or 24**mhz that one would expect, cl9 o shame is that all for this price.
Will wait for Samsungs 32gb

And for $400 for 32gb.
A few extra points in a benchmark is the holy grail for some people.
Give it about 4 to 6 months and that 32GB set will go way down in price.
Yeah they will come down soon enough.
