Zalman to Launch its First GeForce, New Radeon Graphics Cards at Computex
Zalman entered the graphics card business in late 2011, by introducing its first products in the category, all of which are based on AMD Radeon GPUs. At Computex 2012, the Korean PC enthusiast components maker plans to launch its first GeForce graphics cards, along with a few new performance-thru-mainstream Radeon HD 7000 series parts. Among the GeForce parts launched Computex, are an NVIDIA reference design GeForce GTX 670 model, and custom-design GeForce GTX 550 Ti and GeForce GTX 560 Ti graphics cards. These parts appear to be using custom PCB designs, and Zalman's very own Z-Machine GV1000 GPU cooling solutions.
Among the new Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards slated for Computex, are the already-unveiled VF3000-cooled HD 7950, a VF3000-cooled Radeon HD 7870, a GV1000-cooled Radeon HD 7850, a VF1000-cooled Radeon HD 7770, and a VF900-cooled Radeon HD 7750. All five Radeon parts use custom PCB designs that are colored Zalman's signature shade of blue.

all zalman have done is reversed the roles. Instead of selling the coolers to OEMs to fit on their GPUs they buy the GPUs themselves and put their coolers on it.
not a bad idea since some people usually go out of their way to
dispose ofreplace the stockcooler right after unboxing their new GPU with a good 3rd party one. hopefully this move cuts down the price of having to buy a GPU and 3rd party cooler separately as it comes as 1 unitThough the move could also be because most of the Nvidia & AMD partners are getting better at designing their own coolers so the demand for 3rd party or better aftermarket coolers such as the ones that zalman makes has shrunk and this is Zalmans way of still getting their products out of the door, onto the market and possibly into the hands of the consumers who know how good Zalman coolers are.
hopefullly Zalman will go back to the drawing board after all of its gone and come up with some new designs other then the same ones that have been floating around for the last decade.
I guess they might want to see a profit before they re-tool all their machines to make new coolers.
