NVIDIA to Bundle Metro: Last Light with GeForce GTX 660 and Above

Game bundle wars between NVIDIA and AMD have been a one-sided contest in favor of the latter, with AMD bundling the hottest AAA titles with its Radeon hardware, compared to NVIDIA offering in-game currency on popular free-to-play games. Following news of AMD stepping up its "Never Settle Reloaded" with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on all GPUs upwards of Radeon HD 7750, we've learned that NVIDIA is frantically responding by preparing to give away Metro: Last Light with all GeForce GPUs upwards of the $200 GTX 660. The bundle will go live from April 16th.

MxPhenom 216Only thing that really destroyed FPS in 2033, was the DoF. It was thrown in, and its compute based. Doesn't do much for the overall scene either so you don't really need it. with my 680 with everything else on with DOf off at 1920x1200 I get solid 60fps. With DoF on, drops to like 32.
You are comparing it with wrong cards. 2033 came out long time ago, cards like HD5870, GTX480 were running it and they did have problems in some parts of the game.

I've had Last Light pre-ordered for months now, so I'll be sure to enjoy it with my Radeon Graphics :D

So sad that it's basically guaranteed from previous promotions is that earlier buyers are shafted and don't get the deal. $2000 for a couple of Titans and I don't even get a single bonus besides some promotions not worth the mention... :shadedshu How am I meant to afford games after that!

repman244IMO AMD missed badly on this one, I can't wait for more Metro action. I only hope it's as good (or better) as 2033.

EDIT: I somehow misread and thought it will go with the GTX 680....the GTX 660 might have a hard time running Metro.
AMD got Battlefield 4. There is no competition...

To paraphrase Ettore Bugatti: If you can afford a Titan, surely you can afford some games. :D

Why buy Metro LL when you can buy a third Titan?

Seriously, that's what you can glean from this? So, having Crysis 3, TR, DmC, Bioshock Infinite means AMD missed badly while having just Metro Last Light means NV did good? Something's wrong with this picture.....:wtf:

Nonsense... they should bundle this game 3 years from now, with GTX 990s or something... since that will be the only card powerful enough to run it. F ing idiots (speaking of 4A Games)...
BiggieShadyYeah, ultra settings in metro games are way over the top. I'm sure it looks great and runs fine on high or very high.
There are no "ultra" settings in Metro 2033... VH is the highest (LOL, they're just words after all...) But it does have that dredded "Advanced Depth Of Field" tick box as well as 4xMSAA... both of which drop your FPS by 75%, when combined, also that usless hardware PhysX thing... which even to this day... I have no clue what it does...
