GTA V Coming to PC This Fall

Rockstar Games bit the PC bullet, by announcing Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) for the PC platform, which debuted on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms, last September. Rockstar made this announcement on the sidelines of E3 2014. Alongside the game's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 variants, GTA V for PC, is expected to release in Fall 2014. The studio threw the game up for pre-order. It also showed off a gameplay trailer, which was captured on the PlayStation 4, which reveals more accurate shadows, higher-resolution textures, and lighting effects not seen on the Xbox 360 / PS3 variant.
The trailer video follows.

I believe that what bta is trying to say is "look how it demos on a low-powered CPU and a mediocre GPU, it most certinaly will run better on stronger components" in witch i totally agree.

Rockstar will not make the experience smooth in one X86 machine while making a bad one in a better X86 machine, makes no logical and technical sense.

Best news I've had in a long time!

My pre-order is already placed, lets show those slow Rockstar developers how much money they missed out on taking so long to port to real gaming machines!!!

A lot points to it was developed for PC to start with then ported to 360/ps3. Since they knew most likely what type of hardware ps4/xb1 was gonna be it would been the safer bet to do it that way.

Rockstar noted that the PC version of GTA 5 "will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making,"

It's just funny that PC is getting it 1 year later. A platform where GTA series got born. Just shows how much they care about PC's which is such a shame. On the plus side might only be the fact that 1 year to port it to PC might mean it won't be a total turd like most ports...

Oh yeah! Yoga on a joystick... I kid... I kid...

My hands are full at the moment but I'll surely buy it on the first Steam sale I come across ;)

ok... so now I wana run this game on 4K 120frames with my sub 150$ GPU and Intel i3 - should be plenty to run this game and even few VirtualMachines in background :D...
Seriously - I hope GTA V on PC will be worth it - if it will be - I will pay for X99 system... probably I will do it anyway, but that is beside the point ;)

I have a 200GB partition, half a Jag and a PS4-tier GPU ready for action. Come at me, Rockstar!

Hardware doesn't define consoles, software specifically coded for that hardware however does. You can assemble exactly the same PC and games on it would run like crap compared to same games on PS4.

Will see how it goes... seeing how bad GTA 4 was ported.

Finally! Hope it will be good optimised as Max Mayne 3 was. I suspect Rockstar Leeds to be primary involved for the ports followed by the other studios.

Might just even pre-order this one, hopefully they will have made the driving more GTA4 like with the extra horsepower(heavy doubts, but that would be great).

Should be better than most ports since the PC version will be based on the PS4/xbox and you know they'll put in actual work for those ports.
