ASUS Begins Selling the ROG GT51 Desktop

ASUS has now begun selling their high-end ROG GT51 desktop. The system comes equipped with a factory-overclocked Intel Core i7 -6700K (@ 4.6 GHz) processor, The system comes equipped with two ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards running in SLI mode, 64 GB of DDR4-2800 memory (4×16 GB), two Samsung SM951 512 GB M.2 SSDs operating in RAID 0 mode and with a 1 TB HDD (7200 RPM). The system is configurable, with the end user being able to opt for faster memory, up to five 3.5"/2.5" HDDs or SSDs, different M.2 drives and so on. The fully configured ROG GT51 system costs $4999 and marks ASUS' entry on the market of high-performance desktop PCs.
As for connectivity, the ASUS ROG GT51CA has gigabit ethernet, 802.11ac 8x2 Wi-Fi, multiple USB 3.0 Type-A ports (including two on the front), one USB 3.1 Type-A (10 Gbps) and one USB 3.1 Type-C (10 Gbps) port (both on the front). ASUS has also installed an audiophile-grade ESS Sabre headphone DAC and amplifier to improve audio quality to the front audio outputs. Puzzlingly, the company decided not to equip its top-of-the-range system with one of its Xonar discrete audio cards, with the ROG GT51 still relying on a 7.1-channel integrated audio solution.

The ASUS ROG GT51CA also sports custom dynamic LED lighting effects which are all the rage lately (eight million colors, four zones) and comes with a mechanical keyboard and a gaming grade mouse with matching design. The ASUS ROG GT51CA premium desktop is available from Amazon, B&H Photo and some other retailers.

That motherboard looks worse than the ranger (the worst maximus viii) and the pro gaming boards for that matter (look at the vrm section)

Founders edition cards, i would have expected rog/strix cards here

i would like one of them custom asetek pump blocks when i retire my ranger board to 2nd pc duties though

It has rocket like performance, so the only possible way is to tilt it toward the skies.

The case is overstated. Antiquities, remnants the old generation or dying , GPU, which should be sold in sales by € 200 for the GPU TITAN x Maxwell not Pascal ! ROG motherboard is not ! . can not do two beds M.2. SSD ( one 265 next 512 I doubt that the RAID because they are different sizes ) are old , small disc 1TB . The only thing that is good is an audio accessory. Again, this is overrated .5000$ for PC not worth more than 1500$ and yet it is too much.

A $5k desktop with only a 1tb spinner HD plus SSD's, for that price I would think they would install a 3tb drive.

They added the latest GPU GTX1070 and GTX1080 but only chassis is Rog .And some minor improvements x512 2 GB SSD RAID ..
Someone is reading . Still far too expensive for such a basic component s and many LED s . 700W 80+ is miserable for a good SLI . still I do not know MAXWELL or PASCAL TITAN 3tb HD is new here to hehehehe...

well... for almost the same price in a expensive country like the one i live i might certify that i could build a better PC with a custom moded case, custom Watercooling and also a quite interesting peripherals...

the case looks bad, also the cooling solution its an AIO, cheap for a $5K machine, reference / FE video cards.... a little window on the case, not even a cheaper full acrylic window... or a small tempered glass one...
just look at the name... ROG GT51 i guess GT stands for "Grand theft" 51 ... cause Asus stole your money with this Garbage....
