R-T-BLiterally anyone can read the transmitted data from any device.
Fixed.
R-T-BFirewalling won't prevent a remote rooting of your device, you need to shut it off completely...
Um, not that I'm aware off. And I've looked and tried several methods to crack BT. Granted I'm not a freaky-neaky hacker, but I know enough to be effective.
R-T-Bbut we're getting really off topic.
Not really. Side-tracked a little, sure. ChromeOS is a loose variant of Android and has many security concerns and weaknesses that are not present on other platforms.

I think you misunderstand the security situation at present with WPA2. It has issues but they require extensive computational power to crack the encryption, with the exception of this one. It's more like the "issues" you reference reduce the cracking time to a plausible timeframe of days, but this takes seconds as it's literally a null key.

Of course, if most websites you visit are SSL or similar, it doesn't matter. And they probably are.

From the blueborne disclosure website (near the bottom): www.armis.com/blueborne/
Vulnerabilities that can spread over the air and between devices pose a tremendous threat to any organization or individual. Current security measures, including endpoint protection, mobile data management, firewalls, and network security solution are not designed to identify these type of attacks, and related vulnerabilities and exploits, as their main focus is to block attacks that can spread via IP connections.
It basically says right there that this is protocol/Firmware level and as such firewalling does nothing.
