Alphacool Announces Eiswolf 2 AIO for RTX 3090 Founders Edition
Alphacool today presents the Eiswolf 2 All-in-One solution for Geforce RTX 3090 Founders Edition graphics cards. The Eiswolf 2 uses the Alphacool 360 mm NexXxoS ST30 full copper radiator. For the fans, we use the 120 mm Alphacool Aurora Rise. The AIO is completed by the Eisblock Aurora water cooler. This not only cools the GPU chip, but actively cools all relevant components such as the memory and VRAM. It also has brilliant aRGB lighting.
All components used (radiator, fan, cooler, DC-LT 2 pump) including fittings and tubing are part of the Alphacool DIY range and are therefore available separately. The combination of all components results in a solution that is as easy to install as an AIO, but offers the performance of a pre-assembled and pre-filled custom loop.MSRP: 244.09€, available now. The Eiswolf pump fills up that open space efficiently rather than hanging off the top or the rear of a rectangular PCB.
Eiswolf pumps on other PCBs that are mounted on the top have clearance issues in some cases. This would be especially problematic for a really tall card like the 3090.
A quick Internet search suggests that the Dell version is based off of the reference design which is NOT the Founders Edition design.
Moreover, the Alphacool product page only claims compatibility with the Founders Edition card.
Ultimately the authoritative answer will come from Alphacool. It's a brand new product and it's not like there are thousands of Dell 3090 owners here who have tried this aftermarket product out.
Sticking the pump where the ass of the GPU normally is, since the FE is so small? genuinely an awesome idea Founders and dell are NOT the same
