ADATA Wins Six Red Dot Design Awards

ADATA Technology (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 3260.TWO), a manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules, NAND Flash products, mobile accessories, gaming products, electric power trains, and industrial solutions today announces that it has been awarded six 2022 Red Dot Design Awards for product design excellence. The award winners include the XPG CASTER and SLAYER DDR5 DRAM, XPG ALPHA and PRIMER mice, and ADATA ELITE SE920 and SE880 external solid state drives (SSD).

"From three Red Dot winners last year to six winners this year, ADATA has shown its unwavering emphasis on product design as a key aspect of the user experience," said Ibsen Chen, Senior Product Marketing Director at ADATA. "Whether they be DRAM, gaming mice, or external SSDs, we not only offer users the performance and functionality they require but also a fitting industrial design that appeals to them on an emotional level." The Red Dot Design Award is a globally recognized award that honors innovative companies, praises design excellence, and ultimately recognizes those responsible for tomorrow's trends. An international jury of design experts with a variety of backgrounds assesses each submission on its merits.
XPG CASTER DDR5 DRAM
Designed for gamers, e-sports athletes, and creative professionals, the high-performance XPG CASTER DDR5 DRAM helps the target group achieve more with performance of up to 6400 MT/s and data transfer rates of up to 7000 MT/s. Whether for gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive visual editing, CASTER allows them to be handled with ease. The design of the product reflects the promise of this product, including communicating its high performance, premium positioning, as well as the spirit of the XPG brand.

XPG SLAYER DDR5 DRAM
The XPG SLAYER DDR5 is a flagship memory module that aims to bring next-level performance to PC gamers and PC enthusiasts. As a top-of-the-line DRAM module, it sports a premium look and feel that is dominated by two metal surface treatments, one glossy and one matte. The module also makes use of intersecting geometric grooves and lines and a beveled surface for added effect.

XPG PRIMER Gaming Mouse
The XPG PRIMER is a gaming mouse that battle-hardened and rookie gamers will appreciate. It offers comfort during even the longest sessions by sporting an anti-slip textured PBT cover that is sweat-proof and comfortable to hold. What's more, it has the ideal weight (98 g ± 5%) for perfectly balanced and precise movements.

XPG ALPHA Gaming Mouse
The XPG ALPHA gaming mouse is the outcome of several years of ergonomic research in industrial design form and function. Developed based on data collected over two years from XPG's multi-design award-winning "Project HEADSHOT," (including Red Dot Design, Taiwan Excellence, and Golden Pin awards) ALPHA is the culmination of extensive hand scanning data collected from across the globe. The ALPHA mouse is characterized by aesthetic contours that facilitate excellent ergonomics for comfortable gaming and visual appeal.

ADATA ELITE SE920 USB4 External SSD
The ADATA SE920 is a next-generation USB4 external SSD. USB4 allows it to achieve read and write speeds of up to 4000 MB/s for data transfer rates that are four times faster than USB3.2 drives. On the outside, the drive sports a minimalist dual-surface design with contrasting sandblasted and hairline-brushed finishes. It also sports a sliding top cover with a mechanism that, when pushed up, exposes an air vent and activates a built-in fan for effective heat dissipation. Sliding the cover up also activates LED lights. The device is geared toward on-the-go creators who seek effective cooling and a subtle yet elegant design.

I'm not even sure how to feel about awards given to so many brands for so many products and some were not even released yet on the retail market.

I do wonder if they get some kind of quantity discount or something, or maybe the marketing department had a bigger budget and didn't know what to do with it and just bought more awards - they did went from 3 awards last years to now 6

Let me help you: laugh about it and ignore said companies for lying to you.

Every single one loses every bit of credibility in my book. Voice it, spread the word. Its powerful anti-marketing too ;)
