ummm why are the 2.93 1066 and 3ghz 1333 the same price? seems odd being the extra fsb shouls give a decent boost in performance.

No doubt, I'm waiting unitl after Christmas to buy my next system. I would like to see some cpu's that could possibly run 3dmark on thier own and run it well, or something like that. I would love to see IBM come into the consumer market with some kind of cell chip. This is the lull before the storm, cpu's are going to be making a huge jump in performance before 2007 is over.

I dont think games will benefit from quad core much for a while, beside taking care of so extra apps.. however if you want to run a virus scan or convert a movie at the same time of your gaming it will help.:) $266 is what distributors will pay right?

These things are getting hot again like the P4's. Time for Intel to pull out a new power management trick and go, again, to reduced fab size, and again, to lower Vcc. (ULV)

I love the QX6850 being the same price as the QX6800. More FSB and a slight bump in speed for the same price. ::rofl:: I suspect AMDs to be priced better and offer better performance. But hell, I'm a fan of AMD! :)

Im waiting for AMDs comeback. They've got bring out somthing big to persuade me to drop my Core 2 Duo.

My plan for next year is to get a Q6600 and some huge piece of cooling and OC it to hell.

Woah. a quad for ~~$250 by Q3... wow. i could actually afford something like that.....
amd's going to be in a real price squeeze w/ intel's quads once barcelona releases. but then again, if barcelona kicks ass, it could be a moot point.
