EA's Immortals of Aveum Could Launch on July 20

Although we have not heard about its since The Game Awards in December, EA's first-person magic shooter, Immortals of Aveum, could launch on July 20th. Developed by Ascendant Studios, and to be published under EA Originals, Immortals of Aveum is built with Unreal Engine 5, and will b e coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the PC.

The earlier trailer showcased a rather interesting single-player, first-person magic shooter experience in "an original fantasy universe engulfed in magic, rife with conflict, and on the verge of oblivion." The Ascendant is a new independent studio founded by Bret Robbins, who was behind Visceral Games' Dead Space and Sledgehammer's Call of Duty, including Modern Warfare 3, Advanced Warfare and World War 2. The studio managed to pick up some rather talented people that worked on some big AAA games.

Update: Ascendant Studios also added a countdown to the reveal trailer that will launch in two days, on April 13th.
The latest leak comes from dataminer billbil-kun, who has a pretty good track record when it comes to such leaks, claiming it will be released on July 20th. As noted, we only have the official teaser trailer released at The Game Awards 2022, so hopefully, we will hear and see more soon.

It doesn't look too bad, but I really only want good single player experiences, so I will probably pass on this as I did on Anthem.

Edit: this is apparently only a single player shooter... hmm interesting, I actually might give this a go.

I like the concept presented in the video for a single player atmosphere, and the developers have made games I enjoyed in the past, so I trust them a bit more.

and what concept is being presented that is so alluring to you? and basing your enjoyment on a future game on a devteam is super dangerous as the team might be there in name but hte actual people who made the game you loved playing are often LONG GONE.

The Dice that made Battlefield 2 is not the Dice that made Battlefield 2042, the people that made Mass Effect all left constantly in-between games, Bioware is not the bioware of yesterday etc etc etc.
And here they are being even more vague, some dude that let some CoD games and some "rather talented" other people.....yeah...confidence inspiring to be sure....

Well Titanfall 2 single player campaign is one of my all time fav FPS experiences, and came from a CoD dev who left the CoD team, similar to this here, I will wait for reviews though.

this was from 2022, the video. I am sure they will have a bigger announcement before release of course.

No reason to hate on it until you see reviews first.

WOW, hates a strong words, which a lot jump to these days. How about the lack of trust as seen as they are under the thumb of EA.

that was kinda my point towards your initial response, sure there is no reason for hate (other then it being EA) but there is also no reason for hype or praise and I think people are blindly praising every single bit of digital media that gets fed to them for no reason.
