The Talos Principle 2 Launches November 2

Hi everyone. Croteam is very happy today to announce The Talos Principle 2 is launching on November 2. This is a very special project for us. For one, it allowed us to continue the story of The Talos Principle, a game that shaped us just as much as Serious Sam did. But also, The Talos Principle 2 started a new chapter for us, as we transitioned from developing our own technology to Unreal Engine, which allowed us to put 100% of our focus on creating the best gaming experience we can.

We cannot wait for everyone to hop in The Talos Principle 2 on November 2nd, and experience this new adventure with us. You can pre-purchase The Talos Principle 2 now at 10% off, and if you own the original you can secure an additional discount. Thanks for all your support! The new game is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges.
Born into a new world where biological humanity is extinct but human culture lives on in a city of robots, you find yourself swept up in a mind-bending adventure involving a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers.

The more you discover, the more you will be confronted with questions about the nature of the cosmos and the purpose of civilization. The broken promise of a better tomorrow, the fear of repeating humankind's mistakes, faith in reason or renouncing humanity altogether - the choices you make and the sides you take will determine the course of events.

Ooo, it's been a hot minute but I really enjoyed The Talos Principle so fingers crossed this will be good as well! £20.24 if you own the original & you pre-order, not bad for a brand new game these days. Plus there's always the Steam refund policy if it sucks :)

If it's half as good as Talos Principle 1, it will be good.

Bought the first one a few days back in a sale on GOG. Sad to see the follow-up switching to DX12, sorry I'm just a big fan of Vulkan API.

Talos Principle is best played with a certain attitude. Like a classical music concert, it needs a participant who is relaxed and ready to see where this introspective, slow process will lead to. The puzzles there are just an activity along the way. It is, primarily, not a dopamine-heavy game, although puzzles certainly do hold some of that as well. It needs some immersion and time dedication to get into what it's actually about.

`They developed their own game engine for Talos Principle 1 but for Talos Principle 2 they went with Unreal Engine 5. I suppose it doesn't have Vulkan support?

Talos 1 was outstanding "easter egg" game!
Just wondering what will come in the new game with the much more diverse mechanics...
