This Week in Gaming (Week 45)

With autumn in full swing, the first full week of November brings a bunch of new games along with it and this week's AAA title is the third in the series and appears to have something to do with duty. As for this week's other titles, we can look forward to managing some kind of sports teams, crafting robots, erasing names, messing around in dungeons and finally some old school action.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III / This week's AAA title / Friday 10 November
Modern Warfare III celebrates the 20th anniversary of Call of Duty with one of the greatest collections of Multiplayer maps ever assembled - both fan favorites and all new ones. All 16 launch maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been modernized with new modes and gameplay features and will be available at launch to get everyone started, while over 12 all-new core 6v6 maps will fuel post-launch live seasons.
Football Manager 2024 / Monday 6 November
Football is the relentless pursuit of perfection. Success in the modern game is defined by those who build, plan and fine-tune every aspect of their club. Whether you're a manager who likes to build from the bottom or prefers to chase immediate glory, the perfect challenge awaits, with the Meiji Yasuda Insurance Ltd J1, J2 and J3 leagues also fully unlocked and playable for the first time ever in the history of the series.
Robocraft 2 / Tuesday 7 November
The sequel to the genre-defining game, played by over 16 million people! Experience vehicle-based online PvP destruction with limitless options, absolutely free. 100 years after the events of Robocraft, two corporations are returning to Mars to fight for the powerful resource called protonium. What will their war set into motion?
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name / Wednesday 8 November
Once a legendary yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu faked his own death and abandoned his name for the sake of protecting his family. Now, he is thrust into conflict by a mysterious figure attempting to drive him out of hiding. Under the codename "Joryu", Kiryu embarks on a gripping action narrative with bone-shattering combat in vibrant locations filled with exciting characters and activities.
Dungeons 4 / Thursday 9 November
The Absolute Evil and its trusted *cough* servant, the Dark Elf Thalya, return in Dungeons 4 after the events of its fabulous predecessor to bring about their triumph over the forces of good once more.
Strike Force Heroes / Friday 10 November
Strike Force Heroes is an oldschool arena shooter rebuilt with modern mechanics with full co-operative and PvP online multiplayer. It melds over the top action with epic story-telling in this intense remake of the hit Flash game.

ExcuseMeWtfActually, that's what I do. I wishlist interesting titles right away, but usually don't grab them on launch, instead waiting for some sort of discount. I made exception to this very few times, (notably for Tony Hawk 1 + 2, as I've been a massive fan of series)
yeah me too, mainly because i also have a policy to never play "just released" or "early access" games until they've fully matured(usually between 6mo to 1+ year and after at least after several big patches come out and patches are small) and/or are at sale(maybe i'll buy it on sale then shelve it until it's matured)

ExcuseMeWtfHow's Dungeons 4? Anyone tried out the demo?

SFH looks like nice spiritual successor to Broforce.
I tried it a bit, if you like Dungeons 3, you'd probably like 4 imo
I liked the 3rd one, so I'll buy it... sometime... depends on my active backlog (frontlog?)

Me too. Sometimes I'd gladly forego this rule, for example with Alan Wake 2, but I've got too many games to play, and I'm in the middle of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which takes a while to finish, so it'll have to wait anyway. :D
