I noticed they are using an ES cpu.

Notice how these screenshots never show the CPU voltages (SA,TX,VDD2)? :) the ES CPU part isn't important. Just that they had access to a whole tray to find a superior CPU.

I don't have a exact number, but my guess is probably none (13/14) can pass y-cruncher without some extra attention. So no XMP 8600 plug n play if you expect any sort of stability.

Certainly people have submitted hwbot y-cruncher scores at that frequency, but it's either LN2 pots or chillers. The 13/14 gen has its limits. I can reach 9000 MT with ambient watercooling with the Apex, but true stability ends for me around 8400 (with E-cores and HT enabled).

Maybe this is really designed for next gen Ultra in the fall?

That said I'm going to try and get me a sample for review :)

I also say in my reviews for these type of halo products that the benefits of buying these high pre-bins is great for those who already know exactly what they want to do as far as extra tweaks or just seeing where their CPU / MB limits are. On the other side it can be quite misleading to those who see this press release and think that MB is all you need. Sure it probably will boot, but I highly doubt the stability aspect from auto voltages and settings... Unless it's suicide ones (look at you Z790 Nova with 1.6v SA).

Yeah, lols. I know silicon is better on the upper models of 14th gen but what about IMC? Could be roughly all the same so they just got a tray of 14600k coz they are cheaper to bin?

So only heard hear say what's better, like for example 14700KF is the worse, but really who knows. I don't have 100+ samples.

To contradict that statement, the Intel IMC in my opinion is a complete lottery for 8000+ from what I gather from my collection and other peoples input.

I love how they deliberately withhold all the actual settings that would give such high clocks with stability. Secondary and tertiary memory timings, and many, many voltages etc, with most of these settings not part of the XMP profile.

No way on Gods sweet Earth could you just plug these in, and they would just work at 8600 with full stability. No way. You need a Platinum CPU with a Platinum memory controller, with I think 1 or 2 particular motherboards which are capable of running at 8600, and even then, not every sample of those boards is guaranteed to run at that speed! Too many variables, and pure, blind luck needed here.

A complete waste of money for 98% of people.

the ppl who should be interested the most in these are ppl considering apu as they benefit the most, im currently testing 8700g where most reviewers limited by memory speed and tuning ran 720 to 1080p low medium settings Im at 1080p 1440p high 60fps
