Colorful Presents iGame Lab Project: Highest-Performance GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs Limited to 300 Pieces, OC'd to 3.8 GHz

At Computex 2024, Colorful has launched an ultra-exclusive new graphics card - the iGame Lab 4090. This limited edition GPU is squarely targeted at hardcore overclockers and performance enthusiasts willing to pay top dollar for the absolute best. With only 300 units produced globally, the iGame Lab 4090 represents the pinnacle of Colorful's engineering efforts. Each chip was hand-selected from thousands after rigorous binning to ensure premium silicon capable of extreme overclocks. The card's striking aesthetics feature a clean white shroud with silver accent armor. Beyond the intricate design, the real draw is performance. The iGame Lab 4090 has already shattered records, with professional overclocker CENs pushing it past 3.8 GHz under 3D load. It set a new world record 3DMark Time Spy Extreme score of 24,103 points. Out of the box, the card features a base clock of 2235 MHz, a boost clock of 2520 MHz, and a turbo mode of 2625 MHz, all while being a 3-slot design.

I thought at first that it came out of the box OCd to 3.8 somehow and had a lot of questions. The reality, as always, is mediocre and unexciting.

I don't think that OC was on max stock 1.1V so that why yes it pretty anoying, that card will change nothings versus a normal one, maybe what 200MHz more if binned, but 3.2GHz is not 3.8GHz.

Too late to the show to make much of a splash. If they can do the same with 300 5090s out of the gate (nope), they may have something to brag about.

Hilarious that a company called Colorful releases a monochromatic product. Might need to rethink that name.

Arguably, their typical anime pastel could be less appreciated by the intended demographics.

One could always take a rattle can to it. Maybe that's even intended from the start. :p

As I myself is overclocker and have a decent 4090 card, the reality is unfortunately different.
CENs overclocked the card to 3.8GHz most likely either with a software tool that Colorful provided him to unlock the voltage of the VCore and VRAM, or he used an EVC2 to control the voltage.
Of course he would have done it not with this white two slot cooler but under LN2. :D

I know that overclockers like CENs got software tool with Galax HOF which unlocks voltages.
Unfortunately, the normal overclockers like me who don‘t belong to the elite class have to use EVC2 that is soldered to the voltage control IC on the card to OC it.
Here you see some modding pictures of my card:

With my setup I am in the top 10 in 4090 HOF for Timespy overall score:
www.3dmark.com/hall-of-fame-2/timespy+3dmark+score+performance+preset/version+1.0/1+gpu

I don‘t have LN2 setup like top 4-5 places there in this list otherwise most like I can push my card even higher.
