4 Comments on CTL Introduces the Next-Generation 14" Chromebook: the CTL Chromebook PX141E Series
The Chuwi netbooks are the benchmark. Normally on offer somewhere for closer to $200, but an MSRP of only $250 for N100/8GB/256/1080p/WiFi6

Realistically, this looks cheaper, heavier, and lower spec - dropping down to eMMC and a 1366x768 screen means it looses its appeal above about $160. For an extra $50 even people on a tight budget are going to pick the faster, lighter, better-looking option.
a bit on the edge

Nobody ever buys these netbooks at MSRP. In fact, I don't think I've ever actually seen one for sale at MSRP to consumers. I can believe those prices you've found are the target/list price they want to charge institutions and businesses buying in bulk.
When I'm dealing with HPE/Dell/Pure/Netapp/Cisco - if I pay more than half of the list price I've negotiated poorly and failed to play the market properly, HPE often expect to sell at 30-40% list which is stupid and I hate it but I hate the whole partner-only sales model that literally forces you to throw brand A and selling partner A against brand B and selling partner B if you don't want to get taken to the cleaners.
