QNAP Releases M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD to 2.5-Inch U.2 SSD Adapter for NAS
QNAP Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking, and storage solutions, today officially launched the QDA-UMP4A adapter. This adapter allows users to install an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD into a 2.5-inch U.2 (SFF-8639) PCIe NVMe SSD slot of a QNAP NAS.

- Fits 2.5-inch U.2 NAS bay: The QDA-UMP4A is designed with a height of 7 mm to fit into a 2.5-inch U.2 NAS drive bay.
- No drivers required: Users can install the QDA-UMP4A without needing any additional drivers or software, simplifying the setup process.
- Greater market choice: The QDA-UMP4A allows users to take advantage of the wider selection and cost benefits of M.2 2280/2260/2242/2230 NVMe SSDs compared to U.2 SSDs.
- Hot-swappable: M.2 SSDs installed in the QDA-UMP4A are hot-swappable, enabling easy replacement and reduced system downtime. (Note: Some NAS models do not support hot-swap.)
