Sony PLAYSTATION3 Movie Download Service Arrives this Summer

Kaz Hirai, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, revealed today that a new movie download service will hit the PlayStation 3 in the U.S. this summer. Players from Japan and Europe will have the opportunity to enjoy the service at later dates. More details are likely to be unveiled next month during Sony's E3 Media and Business Summit conference. who wants to bet that their movies will be over priced?? may as well charge users a monthly or pay as u go fee & the the movie streamed instead of downloaded. failing that theres plenty of other places when u can get movies without having to pay. Sony has to remain competitive by keep the cost per movie fairly low & 'competitive'. but this is Sony we are talking about - since when is anything of theirs at a competitive price unless retailers are selling it at reduced prices or at a small loss just to shift stock??? Im in no way disputing against their equipment - they make some of the best gadgets - but their overpriced

look at the pic. seems you can rent and buy them. ghost rider says its only $5.99 so i doubt they will be all overpriced.

And they should be in HIGH DEF quality, especially at that price.

it also says thats a rental not to buy the movie for your hdd. its more expensive than xbox live's movie service 800 credits are like 12.50 and a hd movie is about 300 credits so its only about 3 or 4 dollars to get movies via xbox live.

and no i am not a xbox fanboy i do own it i love it but im also saving for a ps3 for the blu-ray and such (and a few select games MGS4, Killzone 2,) as of right now. just stating that its more expensive for older movies in hd than on the 360.
