Oh boy, the war's heating up now!

In the US we can get a 4850 for ~$150 after rebates from newegg. Even it if the 9800 GTX+ comes out @ $200 manufacturers might still have to compete pretty hard to move this one.

This just might be the best gfx war EVER! :toast:

...unless they come out with new next-gen cards in another 6 months.

i was so ready to buy one of these like less than 3 months ago. Then I got woo'd by the 4850. Now I'm thinking I should hold out for the 4870x2 lol. I'm just gonna end up waiting a year, and by the time i'm ready to upgrade i'll probably be broke again!

You just have to look around. Yes, it seems PALiT waited out all the price drops before they entered into the market this round.

I really think Palit could attract new customers if all of their cards came with custom coolers. The 8800gt Sonic was awesome, we need more cards like that.

What do you mean? There are many custom coolers available for the 9800gtx, its not like Nvidia makes it impossible.

I was wondering where to find a palit 4870. Sites looks a tad dodgy, but then again, Im spoiled by the Egg.
