OCZ Technology Launches Mac Edition Vertex Series SSDs and Notebook SODIMMs

OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory and computer components, today unveiled OCZ Vertex Mac Edition Solid State Drives and mobile memory solutions qualified by OCZ for ultimate compatibility with the latest family of MacBooks. Whats sad about this is the fact it wont be any different than the other SSD's that ozc made in this line. they just slapped a apple smile face on it. :shadedshu

Possible firmware change suited to how the Mac OS operates. Maybe pre aligned or whatever.

Yes, it's the same drive, but it has been tested and qualified in Apple's own labs for use on compatible Apple OSs and hardware.

It's more of a piece of mind kind of thing, for Mac users looking to move to an SSD.
