ZALMAN today announced market availability of its new CNPS16X tower-type CPU cooler and three new STC-series thermal compounds. The CNPS16X features an aluminium fin-stack tower-type heatsink that's ventilated by a pair of 120 mm fans in push-pull configuration, held together by an ABS shroud. The top-plate of this shroud features an addressable RGB embellishment with the ZALMAN logo at the center. Besides this, both fans feature ARGB diffusers along the bore of their frames. ZALMAN has two color variants of the CNPS16X depending on the color of the shroud - black and white. Splitter cables are included so the ARGB connections of both fans and the shroud are combined to a single 3-pin connection.

The design of the CNPS16X involves a direct-touch heatpipe base, from which four 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes pull heat, spreading it through the aluminium fin-stack. This stack features wave-shaped fins that make hexagonal patterns when viewed from the side. This design helps with increasing turbulence and heat-dissipation to the air-flow. Each of the two included 120 mm fans takes in 4-pin PWM, spins up to 1,500 RPM, together pushing around 75-90 m³h of air, with 25-29 dBA of noise output. ZALMAN rates the thermal capacity of this cooler at 150 W. Among the CPU socket types supported are AM4, LGA115x, and LGA2066. The CNPS16X is priced at 59.90€ (including taxes).

Here are some of the first close-ups of the ASRock B550AM Gaming motherboard, which made its first appearance back in October 2019. The B550A is a rebadged B450 low-power "Promontory" chipset. Boards based on the chipset are guaranteed to support all 3rd generation Ryzen desktop processors out of the box. The B550AM Gaming draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, conditioning it for the AM4 SoC with an 8+2 phase VRM.

The AM4 socket is wired to four DDR4 DIMM slots supporting dual-channel DDR4 memory; the board's sole PCI-Express 4.0 x16, and an M.2-22110 slot that has PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6 Gbps wiring. The only other expansion slot is a PCI-Express x4 wired to the B550A chipset, which is likely gen 2.0. Other storage connectivity includes six SATA 6 Gbps ports. USB connectivity includes two USB 3.2 gen 2 ports (from which one is type-C), and six USB 3.2 gen 1 ports (from which two are by headers). Network connectivity includes WLAN (likely 802.11ac), and a 1 GbE wired interface. The 6-channel HD audio appears to be driven by a premium Realtek ALC1220-class CODEC. There are two 4-pin RGB and one 3-pin ARGB headers. The company didn't reveal pricing, or whether this board is even available in the retail channel, given that back in October we heard that the B550A was an OEM exclusive.

XIGMATEK over the weekend rolled out the WindpowerPRO CPU cooler. This tower-type air cooler is characterized by its top plate that has RGB LED embellishments, and a pair of included 120 mm fans meant for push-pull airflow through the heatsink. The business end of this cooler consists of a tower-type aluminium fin-stack heatsink with anodized black fins to which heat is conveyed by six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the CPU at the base.

A single 3-pin addressable-RGB connection handles lighting for all three elements (the two fans and the heatsink's top-plate). The company also includes a 4-pin PWM fan header splitter, in case your motherboard lacks two 4-pin fan headers near its CPU socket. The leading global motherboard, graphics card and mini PC manufacturer, ASRock, announces X570 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3 receives the Thunderbolt Host certification from Intel. It is the first Thunderbolt Certified AMD motherboard.

X570 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3 is the high-end Mini-ITX model in the ASRock X570 series motherboard which supports AMD Ryzen 2000 and 3000 series processors with AM4 socket. It is equipped with 10 power phase design (Dr.MOS) which provides completely smooth power delivery to the CPU to offer unmatched overclocking capabilities, and enhanced performance with the lowest temperature for advanced gamers. Akasa rolled out the Vegas Chroma line of top-flow CPU coolers. The coolers come in two variants based on CPU socket types supported. The Vegas Chroma LG supports Intel LGA115x sockets, while the Vegas Chroma AM supports AMD sockets AM4 and AM3+. The cooler's design is an awful lot similar to Intel's stock HSF for desktop processors. An anodized aluminium heatsink with spirally-projecting fins, is ventilated by a 120 mm fan. Airflow from the heatsink ends up ventilating other components around the CPU socket, such as VRM heatsinks, M.2 heatsink, and possibly even memory.

The hydraulic bearing fan takes in 4-pin PWM for its main function, and 3-pin ARGB for the lighting. LEDs are embedded in the hub of the translucent white impeller. In both variants, the fan spins between 500 and 1,800 RPM, pushing up to 51.3 CFM of air, with a noise output of up to 32.5 dBA. Both variants measure 120 mm x 120 mm length and width; but differ in height. The LG variant is 59 mm tall, and the AM variant 63 mm. The LG variant weighs 380 g as it requires a back-plate, while the AM variant tips the scales at 340 g. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ID-COOLING today announced SE-234-ARGB CPU air cooler, featuring Addressable RGB Lighting on both the heatsink top cover and fan, 4 direct-touch copper heatpipes, 120 mm PWM fan and newly designed metal-mecha mounting system. This cooler is designed to cool those processors with a TDP under 200 W. With a dimension of 126x88x154mm, this cooler is basically compatible with all regular ATX cases. The whole heatsink body has a black coating for stealthy looking.

Both the top cover and fan has addressable RGB lighting. Cooler Master updated the MasterLiquid ML360P premium AIO liquid CPU cooler with a new Silver Edition variant that sees a silver-gray color-scheme dominate the radiator, tubing sleeves, and the pump-block. Rather than including three 120 mm fans, Cooler Master packs a 3x 120 mm compound-fan. ARGB LED illumination dominate the three fans and subtle lighting accents on the pump-block. You can use a single 3-pin ARGB connection to control lighting of the entire cooler, or use the included LED controller that lets you customize color, and cycle between lighting presets.

Each of the three 120 mm fan subunit spins at speeds of up to 1,800 RPM, pushing up to 45 CFM of air, with noise output ranging between 8 to 30 dBA. Korean PC cooling major Zalman released the CNPS20X and CNPS17X air coolers with RGB LED embellishments. The CNPS or computer noise prevention system line of CPU coolers from Zalman consist of the most outlandish and off-beat heatsink designs, and it's no different with the CNPS20X and CNPS17X. The CNPS17X has a solo fin-stack heatsink with one included fan, while the CNPS20X is a dual fin-stack heatsink with two included fans. Both coolers feature a small quantity of pure copper fins in addition to aluminium fins. The copper fins are positioned toward the center of the stack.

Both coolers include an RGB LED-embellished variant of the ZM-SF140, a 140 mm fan with split-blade impellers designed to increase air-flow. The fans spin between 800 to 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 63 CFM of air, with noise output ranging between 16.5 dBA to 28 dBA. Scythe unveiled the SCY-920S, an entry-level tower-type CPU cooler meant as a quieter substitute to your stock CPU cooler, with a thermal load capacity of 95 W. Its design involves an aluminium heatsink base through which two 6 mm thick copper heat pipes pass, making direct contact with the CPU, which then fan out through the fin-stack. A 92 mm fan ventilates the fin-stack. Spinning between 500 to 2,000 RPM, this fan pushes 7.1 to 48.2 CFM of air, with 8.3 to 28.3 dBA noise output. Measuring 87 mm x 62 mm x 127 mm (DxWxH), the SCY-920S weighs about 280 g. Among the CPU socket types supported are AM4 and LGA115x. The cooler goes on sale around mid-December.

AMD today announced four new desktop processors across three very diverse markets. To begin with, the company crowned its socket AM4 mainstream desktop platform with the mighty new Ryzen 9 3950X processor. Next up, it released its new baseline entry-level APU, the Athlon 3000G. Lastly, it detailed the 3rd generation Ryzen Threadripper HEDT processor family with two initial models, the Ryzen Threadripper 3960X and the flagship Ryzen Threadripper 3970X. The company also formally released its AGESA Combo PI 1.0.0.4B microcode, and with it, introduced a killer new feature for all "Zen 2" based Ryzen processors, called ECO Mode.

The Ryzen 9 3950X is a 16-core/32-thread processor in the AM4 package, compatible with all socket AM4 motherboards, provided they have the latest BIOS update with AGESA Combo PI 1.0.0.4B microcode. The processor comes with clock-speeds of 3.50 GHz base, with 4.70 GHz maximum boost frequency, and the same 105 W TDP as the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X. With 512 KB of dedicated L2 cache per core, and 64 MB of shared L3 cache, the chip has a mammoth 72 MB of "total cache."

Jonsbo unveiled the CR-2000, a type-D (double fin-stack) CPU cooler. The cooler's design is characterized by an RGB LED illuminated brushed metal top-plate on both of its fin-stacks, besides two illuminated RGB LED illuminated fans. A single 3-pin 5 V ARGB cable handles lighting for the entire cooler. Six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU at the base, and their ends pass through the two aluminium fin-stacks. Two 120 mm fans ventilate the fin-stacks, one through the first stack, and the second in the middle of the two stacks. A third fan can be mounted to pull air from the second stack.

This latest AMD Combo PI version 1.0.0.4 Patch B (SMU v46.54) has a massive improvement at all points concerning debugs and optimization for the previous version. Specifically, optimized system boot up procedure allows users to shorten boot time and speed up the boot process. Compared to previous 1.0.0.3 version, the boot speed entering into BIOS is faster by 20%.

At the moment, the BIOS for X570 motherboards will be ready for users to download and update in the end of October. The updated BIOS version supports Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G running in X570 platform. On the other hand, it also supports RAID function including SATA- and NVMe-based drives for X570 motherboards. We are still working hard on other existing lineup of 300- and 400-series motherboard and will be released soon in November.
