Corsair Launches CX Series Modular Power Supplies

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC hardware market, today announced the addition of the CX Series Modular power supply units (PSUs) to the company's award-winning PSU line-up. Available in 430, 500, 600, and 750 watt power configurations, the new CX Modular PSUs provide PC builders with the stable reliability of Corsair PSUs at a price that is easy on the pocket.

Unlike budget PSUs, the CX Series Modular PSUs feature a hybrid modular cable system that allows PC builders to install just the cables (PCI-E, SATA, and 4-pin) required for their computer's configuration, for a cleaner look and improved airflow and cooling. The standard ATX form factor and ample cable lengths of the PSUs provide worry-free compatibility with the majority of PCs. In addition, the 80 PLUS Bronze certified PSUs deliver up to 85% energy efficiency at typical 50% usage loads, producing less heat, improving reliability, and reducing noise.

Corsair AX860i and AX760i Digital PSUs Launched, AX-Series Gets 80 Plus Platinum

Corsair officially launched two new DSP-enhanced AXi series modular PSUs, the 860-Watt AX860i and 760-Watt AX760i. In addition, Corsair released the AX860 and AX760, which are variants that lack the DSP-control and Corsair Link Support. All four models are 80 Plus Platinum-certified. The AX860i and AX760i pack monitoring chips and DSPs that connect to the motherboard over USB 2.0/1.1 internal header, letting the PSU interface with the included Corsair Link software, that lets you monitor temperature, power input/output, load, efficiency, PSU fan speed (with manual control), and PSU rail virtualization, features which have been exclusive to the top-end AX1200i till now.

All four models ship with six PCIe 6+2 pin power connectors, twelve SATA power connectors, eight 4-pin Molex connectors (with a Berg adapter), two 8-pin (4+4 pin) EPS/ATX connectors, apart from the customary 24-pin ATX connector. The units are cooled by a 140 mm fan that is completely spun down when the PSU load is below a threshold. The AX860i, AX860, AX760i, and AX760, are priced at US $249.99, $219.99, $229.99, and $199.99, respectively.

Corsair Announces the Hydro H100i and H80i Liquid CPU Coolers

Corsair, the leading supplier of high-performance liquid CPU coolers for PC enthusiasts, today announced the Hydro Series H100i and H80i liquid CPU coolers, a ground-up re-design of the world's most popular, proven, and award-winning liquid CPU coolers, the H100 and H80. The new H100i and H80i models have been enhanced to deliver improved cooling, quieter operation, simpler installation, and Corsair Link digital control.

Better Cooling, Lower Noise

To improve cooling performance over previous generations, the Hydro Series H100i and H80i coolers use new, more efficient copper cold plates, improved manifolds, optimized fan designs, and larger diameter tubing for increased coolant flow. Corsair's new flagship liquid CPU cooler, the Hydro Series H100i, utilizes a 240 mm radiator for increased surface area and cooling capacity. The Hydro Series H80i uses a double-thick 120 mm radiator and two fans in a 'push-pull' arrangement and is compatible with most enthusiast cases with a 120 mm rear exhaust fan.

Corsair AX860i and AX760i Digital PSUs Detailed, Listed

Corsair plans to expand its AXi line of digital PSUs with two new models, the AX760i and AX860i. The two are characterized by 80 Plus Platinum compliance, and Corsair Link support, which gives you digital control thanks to its onboard DSPs. In addition to the various ATX, SATA, and PCIe standard connectors, the PSU connects with your system over a USB 2.0/1.1 internal header, interfacing with the Corsair Link 2 software. The software gives you real-time monitoring of power-draw (load), efficiency, fan-speed, and ambient temperature (within the PSU casing); and manual control over the fan-speed.

Both the 860W AX860i and 760W AX760i come with enough cabling for gaming PCs with three to four graphics cards (six to eight 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors), anywhere between 12 to 14 SATA power connectors, around eight 4-pin Molex power connectors, and two 8-pin EPS connectors (for use with enthusiast-grade motherboards). The AX860i is listed by Canadian retailer Canada Computers & Electronics for CA $235, while the AX760i is listed by German retailer Alternate.de for 219€. These could be pre-launch prices. The AX860i and AX760i are slated for launch a little later this week.

Update: JonnyGuru posted some pictures of the AX860i. The pictures reveal the fully modular PSU to be contract-manufactured by Flextronics.

Corsair Debuts Updated Hydro Series H60 and New Hydro Series H55 Liquid CPU Coolers

The Hydro Series H55 is an update to the hugely respected Hydro Series H50, and is based on the latest, 4th generation cold-plate design. The updated version of the Hydro Series H60 takes advantage of the latest cold plate, manifold and fan technology to further increase performance and reduce noise levels.

Corsair Announces Gaming Mouse Mats

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced a new range of gaming mouse mats, designed with durable, gaming-grade surfaces designed to maximize the performance of high-quality gaming mice like the Vengeance Series laser gaming mice.

Corsair Entry Level Carbide 200R Chassis Starts Selling

Corsair announced the most affordable case in its lineup, the Carbide Series 200R (model: CC-9011023-WW). Priced at just US $59.99, the ATX mid-tower aims to offer most of Corsair's signature features that helped established its brand. The case goes with the catchphrase "...the only time you'll need to pick up a screwdriver is to install the motherboard." Measuring 490 x 270 x 560 mm, the case is made of SECC steel and ABS plastic. Its storage area includes three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays.

The four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays are arranged in a cage towards the bottom, which leaves a lot of room for long graphics cards - up to 43 cm long. The motherboard tray seats ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, it features cutouts that help you deal with CPU cooler back-plates and pesky cables. As for ventilation, the 200R features a total of five 140/120 mm fan mounting locations and three 120 mm mount locations, arranged in the front, rear, top, and side panel. Its front-panel includes two USB 3.0 ports (standard header, with 2.0/1.1 adapter, and front-panel audio (HD audio header).

Corsair Acquires Raptor Gaming

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced the acquisition of certain assets of Raptor Gaming, a maker of high-performance PC gaming peripherals headquartered in Heinsberg, Germany. Established in 2004, Raptor Gaming has a strong retail presence in Germany, the largest market for video gaming in Europe, with products widely available in major chains including Media Markt, Saturn, Real, Kaufland, and Conrad.

As part of this transaction, Corsair receives Raptor Gaming's full product portfolio of keyboards, mice, headsets, and accessories, which will form a new series of gaming products alongside Corsair's existing award-winning line of Vengeance PC gaming products. Raptor Gaming executives CEO Dirk Schunk and COO Heinz-Dieter Ludwig will remain engaged with Corsair to facilitate a smooth transition.

Corsair Carbide Series 300R Available in Windowed Version

Corsair Announces Force Series GS SSDs

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC hardware market, today announced the Force Series GS solid-state drives (SSDs). The new SSDs, which offer the fastest overall performance in Corsair's SandForce-based lineup, will initially ship in capacities of 180 GB and higher. As with other Force Series drives, the Force Series GS SSDs are based on the SandForce SF-2200 SSD Processor, but add toggle NAND flash memory to boost random write speeds up to an amazing 90,000 IOPs.

Corsair Launches Vengeance DDR3-1600 MHz 16 GB Dual-Channel Memory Kit

Corsair launched a new affordable high-density DDR3-1600 MHz dual-channel memory kit, model: CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9. The kit consists of two 8 GB modules, which operate at 1600 MHz (PC3-12800), with timings of 9-9-9-24, and DRAM voltage of 1.5V. The modules pack an Intel XMP v1.3 profile that enables the advertised speeds. Apart from these, the kit is built in the conventional Corsair Vengeance module design. It is expected to be priced at US $135.

Corsair Officially Launches Dominator Platinum DDR3 Memory

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced the Dominator Platinum range of DDR3 memory kits, the world's most technologically-advanced performance memory. Corsair is finally giving its high-end DRAM family some love, with the new Dominator Platinum family of high-speed DDR3 memory modules. With it, the company also came up with its newest DRAM module heatsink design. The new DHX heatsink uses a revamped design that extracts heat from the DRAM chips more efficiently. At its top portion, the module features a user-swappable "light bar", which is purely an aesthetic touch. Further, the modules support Corsair Link, which lets the user monitor temperatures and voltages of each module via software, in real-time. Pictured below is a DDR3-3000 MHz variant of the Dominator Platinum. The module packs an XMP 1.4 profile for 3000 MHz (1500 MHz actual), with CAS latency of 12T.

Corsair Unveils 4th Generation SSDs with New Link_A_Media Devices Controller

Corsair Announces Postponement of Initial Public Offering

"Corsair's board of directors has decided to postpone its IPO due to weak equity market conditions. Our business is growing, and is generating increasing profitability and cash flow. We have decided that we will re-launch when equity market conditions are more favorable. While we do intend to expand our capital base through public capital markets, our existing capital structure and balance sheet provides sufficient capital to enable continued investment in our brand strength, products and people," said Andy Paul, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Corsair.

Corsair Readies Initial Public Offering

According to a stock market analyst with Seeking Alpha, Corsair is going public, with an initial public offering (IPO), in an effort to raise US $78 million, with a market capitalization of $223 million. Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., and RBC Capital Markets, will be underwriting it. Corsair will use the name "Corsair Components", and market symbol "CRSR" in its IPO.

Corsair has two main branches of products, memory products (DRAM and NAND flash products), and peripherals (power supply, cases, and gaming peripherals). Its income fluctuates with consumers' seasonal purchasing patterns. The company plans to net $42.5 million from its IPO, some of its proceeds go toward repaying a cumulative debt of $28 million, the rest of the proceeds go toward working capital and general corporate purposes. An estimated 4.1 million shares are expected to be sold by Corsair.

Core i7-3770K Cracks 6.616 GHz Utilizing 63.0x Multiplier

Intel's upcoming Core "Ivy Bridge" processors for overclockers, namely the Core i7-3770K, and Core i5-3570K, feature multiplier values previously unavailable for Core "Sandy Bridge" series. Chinese proverclocker x-powerx800pro scraped 6.616 GHz utilizing a base clock multiplier value of 63.0x, a clock speed of 6584.86 MHz (104.52 x 63) was validated using the same setup. These clock speeds were backed by core voltages such as 1.056V, and cooled by extreme cooling. The test-bench included a GIGABYTE Z77X-UD5H, 2x 2 GB G.Skill DDR3-2133 MHz memory, and Corsair AX1200W PSU. These clock speeds were found to be Pi-stable, with 6.511 GHz yielding SuperPi 1M timing of 5.585s.

Corsair Adds Wireless Headsets and PC Cases to Vengeance Gaming Line
