Sharkoon Cases at Computex 2024: Rebel C70 RGB Wood Case, AK5 RGB, and Elite Shark CA500

Sharkoon brought an impressive set of PC cases to the 2024 Computex. We begin our tour with the most eye-catching of them all, the Rebel C70 RGB. This case has some real wood embellishments along its front-panel, which gives it a very Scandinavian look. The four included RGB fans put out a warm tone out of the box to add to this look. There are two variants, one with a tempered glass side-panel, the other solid-metal. There are a total of 11 fan mounts, and you can install up to three large radiators. A detachable mounting frame helps with radiator installation. Some other neat touches include a graphics card reinforcement brace.

The Elite Shark CA500 is a beautiful ATX mid-tower with a pillarless front-left corner, with the front- and left side glass panels being a single continuous panel that curves around the edge, rather than two panels meeting at the edge, causing a seam to form. Although a proper mid-tower with glass panels extending to the entire height of the case, and over 16 cm clearance for CPU coolers, this is a "slender" case, with no vertical expansion slots. There's also the Elite Shark CM100, a compacted Micro-ATX version of the CA500, with the same essential design, including the seamless pillarless edge. Both these cases support backside connector motherboards such as the ASUS BTF. The AK5 RGB is a bolt mid-tower case with glass panels making up the front- and left panels, but this isn't pillarless. The front fans breathe through intakes along the trapezoid structure. The case comes in black and white colors, with a contemporary layout.

ENERMAX Shows New Cases at Computex 2024

ENERMAX unveiled a couple of new PC cases at the Computex 2024 show, including the Air240 mid-tower case, the Pano270 and the Pano D58. The new cases feature enhanced cooling performance, modular internal structure for easier installation and cable management, as well as support for motherboards with back connectors.

The new ENERMAX Air240 is a mid-tower case supporting up to ATX motherboards, and featuring standard three-side mesh panel design, which should enhance overall cooling performance, according to ENERMAX. The Air240 is pretty much a standard PC case, but it does have a unique feature which allows the PSU compartment baffle to be redirected in order to provide more airflow to the graphics card. The new ENERMAX Pano270 and Pano D58 PC cases certainly attracted a lot of attention as these are following the current design trend with a 270-degree curved glass panel, which provides a panoramic view of key hardware. The Pano270 supports motherboards with backside connectors, and while it is a smaller case that supports up to a Micro-ATX motherboards, it still supports up to 360 mm AIO coolers and up to nine fans. It also has 37 mm of cable management space, and can support up to 170 mm tall CPU air coolers. The Pano D58 is a slightly different and bigger counterpart and while it has the same panoramic glass, it isn't a curved one. Of course, since it is bigger, it supports ATX motherboards, up to 360 mm AIO coolers on the side and top, and up to nine fans. It supports up to 250 mm long PSUs, up to 420 mm long GPUs, and up to 180 mm tall CPU coolers. All three CPU cases should be available soon.

GAMDIAS Cases at 2024 CES: Neso P1 Elite, Atlas P1, and More

GAMDIAS has a vast lineup of gaming cases that's nearly 50 individual models strong. At the 2024 International CES, the company brought some of its latest case models that it plans to launch throughout the year; including some of its recent cases that came out no sooner than Q4-2023. The New Neso P1 Elite is an upscale model based on GAMDIAS's unique Neso P1 case that can be oriented both as a tower, or as a pedestal case, where you can take advantage of its single-piece curved tempered glass panel to provide a great view from the top at your gaming PC built. With the Neso P1 Elite, the company made improvements to the design of the motherboard tray over the original; added new magnetic modular pedestals that are easier to swap between the two case orientations than something you bolt-onto the panel; the addition of top-panel air vents with an elevated glass top panel; and improvements to the usability of the side-facing radiator. This is, for all intents and purposes, a vertically-partitioned case; except the right side partition doesn't come all the way to the front; but roughly two inches beyond the motherboard tray. This way the right side panel has not just a broad crawlspace, but also room for your PSU and storage.

Next up, is the Atlas P1, which is a conventional horizontally-partitioned mid-tower, but where the bottom partition has some useful feature additions such as a programmable display that puts out real-time fan-speed and temperature monitoring. Although the the front- and left side panels are flush, with no steel pillars in the way; they are not one continuous piece of glass, a mechanical push-type lock releases the side panel along hinges. The top panel can be removed without any tools, which makes working on the liquid-cooling setup is easier. The case has enough room for two radiators as large as 420 mm x 140 mm, one at the top panel, and the other facing the right side. GAMDIAS has both the Atlas P1 and Neso P1 Elite. The Aura GC4 is a unique-looking mid-tower case that features a real oak Scandinavian style front-panel.

CORSAIR Cases at 2024 CES: 6500X and 2500X

CORSAIR had a brisk 2024 International CES announcements, and we begin our coverage with two new cases the gaming lifestyle brand debuted this year—the 6500X and the 2500X. The 6500X is a new vertically partitioned case with, or it looks that way from the front. The right-size partition begins from behind the motherboard tray, so the extra width toward the front of the case can be used to neatly slot in a 360 mm radiator in a manner that it doesn't obstruct long graphics cards; as shown in the example build below. There is no front-left pillar. There are plenty of fan vents, including three along the right side, along the bottom, the top, and the rear. As you can see, even an RTX 4080 ROG Strix can stretch itself without a side-facing radiator coming in the way—again, because the vertical partition begins behind the motherboard tray and doesn't extend all the way to the front.

The CORSAIR 2500X is a miniaturized version of the 6500X design concept, where the case is vertically partitioned, but the partitioning doesn't extend all the way to the front; creating space for the side-facing radiator, so it doesn't obstruct a long graphics card. This case is designed for Micro-ATX (or smaller) motherboards. The 2500X has a cozy, wood-like accents along the top, front-right, and top-right edges. It lacks a left pillar just like the 6500X. Perhaps the most interesting aspect about the 2500X and 6500X is that they support both MSI Project Zero and ASUS BTF motherboard types, with their backside connectivity. The 2500X has enough room for up to three 120 mm fans along the bottom and top panels; and two along the side panel. Corsair is expected to launch the 6500X and 2500X toward the end of February, 2024. The company hasn't finalized pricing. The company also showed off some user-replaceable body panels for these cases.

The cases accommodate a tall cooling system, up to 8 fans, and any current graphics card, with the Arx 700 Air featuring 5 Stratus 140 PWM fans and the Arx 700 ARGB including 4 illuminated Stratus 140 PWM ARGB fans. The design is minimalist, with a tempered glass side panel that allows internal component visibility. Both cases measure 486×228×472 mm (H×W×L) and support ATX, microATX, and ITX motherboards, with a graphics card clearance of 410 mm, CPU cooler clearance of 179 mm, and power supply clearance of 340 mm. They have 7 expansion slots and internal bays that include 1× 2.5"/3.5" and 6× 2.5". The cases can accommodate up to 8 fans and come with built-in dust filters. The front I/O includes 1× USB-C, 2× USB-A, 1× headphones (minijack 3.5 mm), 1× microphone (minijack 3.5 mm), and power and reset buttons. The Arx 700 Air and Arx 700 ARGB are priced at 109 and 119 EUR, respectively.

The Endorfy Arx 500 Air and Arx 500 ARGB are also shown; however, we don't have exact specifications yet, and we expect them to follow soon. Visually, we see that the 500 series is shorter than the 700 series. The cases are priced at 99 and 109 EUR, respectively.
