Logitech G FITS Gaming Earbuds Leak

Back in October 2020, Logitech launched the Ultimate Ears UE FITS earbuds, with its unique feature being custom moldable tips. This in itself wasn't something new, but the trick here was that it could be done at home, using built in LEDs in the earbuds that warmed out the gel-like material, something referred to as Lightform Technology. Now it looks like Logitech is about to launch an updated version of the FITS under its Logitech G gaming brand, based on a leak from 91mobiles. The overall design remains the same from what we can tell from the pictures, although we don't know if anything has changed on the inside.

What we do know is that the Logitech G FITS will come with a USB dongle, as well as what looks like a USB-A to USB-C adapter, so the G FITS can be used with both PCs and consoles, in addition to phones and tablets. The UE FITS have dropped significantly in price since launch, as they now retail for around US$179, versus US$249 at launch. We'd expect Logitech to charge slightly more for the G FITS, due to the inclusion of the USB dongle.

MSI Reveals its Official Pricing for its X670 Motherboards and They're Not Affordable

MSI has put up the pricing of its upcoming X670E and X670 motherboards on its website and it's already causing a stir online, as MSI seems to have priced itself out of the market. Starting at the bottom of the product stack, where the Pro X670-P WiFi sits at US$289.99, which should be compared to the X570-A Pro (without WiFi) which retails for around $110. Admittedly we don't know the exact pricing of MSI's competitors at this point in time, but this seems like a very steep price for a lower-end board in the category. However, things don't improve, as the MPG X670E Carbon WiFi comes in at US$479.99, or about $200 more than its X570S counterpart is currently selling for. This is also at least $70 more than what we expect Gigabyte's X670E Aorus Master to sell at.

Next step up is the MEG X670E ACE which comes in at a steep $699.99, which is at least $100 more than what Gigabyte's X670E Aorus Xtreme is expected to sell for and around twice the current retail price of the MEG X570 ACE Gaming. Finally, MSI is asking for a whopping US$1,299.99 for the MEG X670E Godlike, a price we can't see many being willing to pay for what appears to be a fairly unexciting flagship board, at least compared to what we've seen from ASUS. It's obviously far from the first $1,000 plus board, but despite a fairly feature packed bundle, this board is simply bad value for money no matter how you look at it. Hopefully MSI will adjust their pricing based on the comments that are already posted around the internet, but we're going to have to wait until the official retail date to see if these boards will come down in price or not.

Due to Chip Oversupply, NVIDIA Reportedly Resumes Production of RTX 3080 12 GB

NVIDIA has reportedly resumed production of its GA102-based RTX 3080 12 GB graphics cards, according to a Tweet from GPU leaker Zed__Wang. The reason cited has to do with oversupply of the company's GA102 chips, which powers the company's high-end lineup from the RTX 3080 through the RTX 3090 Ti (in all, there are six RTX 30-series cards powered by this chip, alongside the CMP 90HX mining-specific card, datacenter and AI inferencing accelerators A10, A10G, and A40, as well as the company's RTX A4500, A5000, A5500, and A6000 series for a total of 14 SKUs).

Oversupply, in this case, has more to do with contracting demand - not only is NVIDIA's next-gen RTX 40-series right around the corner, but the already-announced death of Ethereum's Proof of Work mining has flooded the market with second-hand RTX 30-series cards. This, alongside the already long-winded shelf-life of the RTX 30-series - which hit the market back in September 2020 - has led to contracting demand for NVIDIA's GPUs. Rampant inflation and general macroeconomic indicators also do little to instill confidence in the purchase of non-essential products.

Recognizing this trend early and after gathering feedback from its community, the Gamevice team applied its 10+ years of experience - with over one million units sold - to develop a controller that brings a console quality gaming experience to mobile devices. To meet the demands of console players, Flex features updated buttons, Hall effect triggers with longer range, improved ergonomics for extended play, and (by popular demand) a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

"With the Aurora Collection we've created a gender-inclusive collection centered around comfort, approachability and playfulness that supports our long-term commitment to enabling everyone to experience the joy of play."

ASRock is Expected to Launch Multiple Gaming Monitors

Several new ASRock products have passed through the KCC, which is the Korean equivalent of the FCC and normally this would be a new motherboard or maybe some small form factor system, but surprisingly enough, we're looking at gaming monitors. The leak comes courtesy of @momomo_us who's dug up a lot of juicy details on two of the models, whereas we only know the basic specs for the other models. First up, we have the PG34WQ15R, which is a 34-inch curved VA display with a 3440x1440 resolution. It supports FreeSync Premium and has a refresh rate range of 48 to 165 Hz over DisplayPort and 48-100 Hz over HDMI, which seems to be an HDMI 1.4 limitation. The next model is the PG27FF, which is a regular 1080p IPS display that also supports FreeSync Premium, here with a refresh rate range of 48 to 165 Hz over both DP and HDMI. There appears to be multiple sub SKUs of this model, but all start with PG27F.

Then we have the PG32QF, which should be a flat 32-inch display, with unknown specs, but the Q in the model name suggests that it's a 1440p monitor. Finally we have the PG42U, where the U in the model name suggests it's a 4K 42-inch display. The stand looks nearly identical to the one ASUS uses for its ROG Strix XG43UQ 4K screen and the specs are likely to be quite similar too, which means we might see support for 144 Hz or higher refresh rates. All four displays are manufactured by TPV Technology, which produces its own monitors under the AOC, Envision and Philips brands. It's unknown when these new monitors from ASRock will launch, but considering they've passed through certification, it's highly likely that they'll turn up sometime later this year.

Peratech's Force-Enabled Keyboard Used in Latest Lenovo Legion 7i and 7 Gaming Notebooks

Peratech, a leading innovator in tactile-based user interfaces for high-performance electronics, has announced that its full-range, force-sensing technology will be in the latest Lenovo Legion 7i and 7 (16", 7) gaming laptops' W-A-S-D keys. Integrated into Lenovo Legion's high-performance premium gaming laptops, Peratech's Force Keyboard and Hydra user interface software deliver a more immersive, engaging gaming experience.

Unlike other gaming laptops that have added force function to the W, A, S, D keys, Peratech's full-analog response enables players to engage with games on a much more intuitive, physical level by extending the simple on/off switch of a standard key to unleash the full range of force in real-world interaction. Jim Thomas, Peratech CCO shared, "Imagine driving down your local highway and your accelerator is restricted to just 2 options, 'off' or 'full speed.' Reality-based physics calls for acceleration dependent on how hard you press on the gas pedal, or how hard you turn the steering wheel. This is the difference Peratech intelligent tactile sensing makes."
