Thermaltake Announces TOUGHRAM Z-ONE DDR4-3600 and DDR4-3200 Memory Sans RGB

Thermaltake today announced its TOUGHRAM Z-ONE series premium PC memory without RGB LED embellishments. The TOUGHRAM Z-ONE series, which debuted in December 2019, originally feature an RGB LED diffuser on top. The new modules instead feature a brushed aluminium crown of a contrasting shade to the heatspreaders, which gives it an Art Deco look when viewed from the top. The company launched two SKUs today, "R010D408GX2-3600C18A" is a 16 GB dual-channel (2x 8 GB) kit rated for DDR4-3600, while "R010D408GX2-3200C16A" is its DDR4-3200 rated sibling. The 3600 MHz variant achieves its marketed speeds with a tested CAS latency of 18T, and 1.35 V vDIMM. The DDR4-3200 variant does so at 16T CAS latency, and 1.35 V. Both variants pack Intel XMP profiles to enable advertised speeds, and are tested to work on Intel X299, Z390, and AMD X570 platforms. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermaltake today introduced the Pacific TF2 temperature and flow-indicator (model: CL-W275-CU00SW-A), a useful accessory for complex water-cooling setups. You simply fit it across a coolant channel, and plug it into a USB 2.0 header. Additional power is drawn via a SATA power connection. An LED segment display gives you a live readout of the coolant temperature and rate of flow. It includes an audible and visual alarm. You can set warning thresholds for both, so you can quickly figure out if your setup has coolant leaks or is overheating. That's not all, the device even interfaces with TT RGB Plus software over the USB connection, and relay its sensor data to software. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermaltake Riing Quad Radiator Fans with 4 Independent Lighting Zones Start Selling

Thermaltake today released to market the Riing Quad line of fans optimized for liquid-cooling radiator applications (high static pressure). The Riing Quad series was announced at this year's CES. The 120 mm triple-pack is priced at $177.72, and the 140 mm triple-pack at $160. Available in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes, these fans are characterized by four independent ARGB LED lighting zones (rings) adding up to a staggering 54 diodes per fan. The impeller hub has two of these zones, one at the outer hub cap and one along the periphery of the hub); while the frame has the other two zones, one along the bore of the frame, and the other along its periphery, pointing outward.

Besides this, the fans offer 40,000-hour hydraulic bearings, 9-blade impellers designed for high static pressure, and rubberized frame-mounts. The 140 mm variant spins between 500 to 1,400 RPM, pushing up to 60.17 CFM of air, at up to 26.1 dBA of noise. The 120 mm variant does 500 to 1,500 RPM, pushing up to 40.9 CFM of air, at up to 25 dBA of noise. Each of the fans in the pack takes in a 9-pin USB header connection to an included controller module. A single cable provides both power for the main function, and software control over speeds and lighting. The controller module is essentially a powered USB 2.0 hub that interfaces with one of your motherboard's USB 2.0 headers, and takes in additional power through a SATA power input. Thermaltake's TT RGB Plus app handles things on the software side.

Thermaltake today rolled out the TH240 ARGB Sync and TH120 ARGB Sync all-in-one, closed-loop, liquid CPU coolers. As their names suggest, the two are differentiated by radiator size, with the TH240 (CL-W286-PL12SW-A) packing a 240 mm x 120 mm radiator; and the TH120 (CL-W285-PL12SW-A) a 120 mm x 120 mm one. What's different with these coolers is the inclusion of high static-pressure fans, an included fan+LED controller, and a cubical new pump-block design with an ARGB LED illuminated ornament on top. The pump turns at a fixed 3,300 RPM speed, while each of the included fans takes in 4-pin PWM + 3-pin ARGB connectors, spinning up to 1,500 RPM, pushing 59.28 CFM of air, with a maximum noise output of 28.2 dBA. Among the CPU socket types supported are LGA115x and AM4. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Thermaltake today released the S100 Tempered Glass line of Micro-ATX tower cases. Available in all-black and white+black "Snow Edition" variants, the S100 is characterized by a matte finish front, a 4 mm-thick tempered glass side panel, and a horizontally partitioned interior layout similar to conventional ATX mid-towers. The upper compartment offers room for Micro-ATX (or smaller) motherboard form-factors, and room for graphics cards up to 33 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16.5 cm in height.

Storage options include two 3.5-inch trays that can each hold 2.5-inch drives, and two additional 2.5-inch mounts behind the motherboard tray. The bottom compartment has room for standard PSUs up to 16 cm in length. Ventilation includes two 140/120 mm front intakes, a top exhaust that holds either a single 200 mm or two 140/120 mm fans, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. You can mount radiators up to 280 mm x 140 mm along the front- and top panels. Front panel connectivity includes a USB 3.0 port, and a couple of USB 2.0 ports. The case measures 411 mm x 220 mm x 441 mm (HxWxD). The company didn't reveal pricing.

The face-plate around the main key cluster and function keys are silvery aluminium, while one surrounding the numerical cluster, arrow and editing keys is contrasting dark aluminium. The TK5 uses a floating keycap design, with RGB LED element of each individual key producing a glow around the key. There's an acrylic RGB LED diffuser that runs along the periphery of the keyboard, too. Thermaltake is using Cherry MX Blue or MX Speed Silver switches.

The TM5 mouse is wireless, but can also be used as a wired mouse. As a wireless mouse, it supports 2.4 GHz RF (needs a dongle, but provides 10 m range and lower latency) and Bluetooth 5.0 (no dongle needed). The mouse features a palm-grip optimized ambidextrous design with 8 buttons in total. RGB LED embellishments include the scroll-wheel and an RGB element that runs along the periphery of the underside of the mouse. Under the hood is a 16,000 dpi PixArt PMW3335 sensor and Omron-made switches.

Common to both lines are high-bin DRAM chips, 10-layer PCBs with 2 oz copper layers, 10 µ-thick gold electroplated contacts, and the ToughRAM software application that provides temperature, frequency, and timing monitoring; alongside the TT RGB Plus software that lets you play with colors on the ToughRAM RGB models.
