Shape

In terms of shape, the Chakram X hasn't received any changes compared to the Chakram or Chakram Core. The Chakram X still follows the typical right-handed ergonomic archetype, but balances it a bit differently than others. While the left side is raised, the shift in height is less pronounced than on the Zowie EC series, for instance, and the centered hump is nowhere near as pronounced either. The back barely flares out as well, aside from the area transitioning into the thumb rest, and the front likewise stays narrow all the way. The left side only curves inwards vertically yet stays mostly even horizontally, and on the right side, the inwards curve is only mildly pronounced. As a result, the Chakram is a very neutral and agreeable design, and the way it is gripped is mostly dictated by its dimensions. Being not particularly wide but very long, the shape of the Chakram X lends itself mostly to palm or claw grip for people with hands of above average size.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Chakram X is suitable for both palm and claw grip. It is a large and very long mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which makes it suit larger hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Chakram X comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the ASUS ROG Chakram X and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
