A Closer Look

The aluminium radiator is par the course in that it doesn't differ in any serious way from the radiators used by the competition. The Corsair iCUE H115i RGB ELITE uses an industry standard 280 mm radiator with an FPI (fins-per-inch) of 20. As for the fit and finish, I would say it is well above average, I noticed no bent fins or scratches in the finish. The tubing is your typical EPDM rubber with a braided sleeve, measuring 400 mm in length.

The square pump block looks neat and clean, with the top plate featuring Corsair's logo being removable, as it is only held in place via magnets. This is a nice touch since it allows for the logo to be rotated and centered, depending on how you install the pump block. As for the fittings, they are a swivel design, although due to their proximity overall range of motion is a bit limited. Thankfully the USB-C port is on a different side, so that doesn't compound the restriction of the swivel fittings. Finally, the cold plate is copper with visible machining marks. I would have liked to have seen a more polished base, but in the grand scheme of things, the visible machining marks were not noticeable to the touch. What is noticeable is the convex nature of the base.

The Corsair AF ELITE 140 mm fans are a relatively new design comprised of 9 fan blades, making use of a fluid dynamic bearing. Corsair's AirGuide tech also makes an appearance here. Essentially they are using anti-vortex vanes to concentrate airflow and thereby improve cooling performance.
