AMD Announces Catalyst 10.10c Hotfix Driver Update

AMD gave out the latest hotfix driver update to its recently published Catalyst 10.10 WHQL, which is a whole lot more than being just a hotfix, this time. A hotfix update is usually given out by AMD if it misses out on addressing a couple of important issues with a recently published Catalyst WHQL driver update. Catalyst 10.10c Hotfix adds early OpenGL 4.1 support, and surprisingly adds multiple game-specific performance improvements (unusual for a Hotfix).

DOWNLOAD: AMD Catalyst 10.10c Hotfix
Details are as follows:

  • OpenGL 4.1 beta support
  • Support for the new Morphological Anti-Aliasing feature
  • Dead Rising 2 - Crossfire profile (Resolves negative scaling)
  • Crossfire Performance Improvement for:
    o Metro 2033
    o F1 2010 - (Direct X9 version)
    o Fallout New Vegas
  • Performance optimizations for systems with an AMD Radeon HD 6870 and AMD Radeon HD 6850 series of graphics products installed
  • Aliens versus Predator performance enhancements
  • Star Craft 2 performance enhancements
  • OpenGL performance enhancements - gains can be seen in Prey, Quake Wars: Enemy Territories, and Heaven v2

RejZoRMLAA hack works on 10.10c ? I love this feature, but if they really blocked this, i'd like to know, so i won't waste the time with this hotfix.
5xxx MLAA hack

---

I should make it clear - the reghack for the previous generations of cards no longer works with 10.10c - therefore the only work around that ive found so far is only for the 5xxx series

Swamp MonsterIt is possible to turn on MLAA on HD 4xxx cards with 10.10c, but it isn't working right. it gives only black lines across screen and it's imposible to play videos. I use this hack only to turn on Surface Format Optimisation, and it works fine.
If I'm not mistaken MLAA is only for DX11 cards.

I found an alternate Mega-upload link but it says service not available - I guess to many people are just downloading it at the moment

it includes the modified driver files but i dont know if they've already been put in or you still need to put them in yourself

----

and heres a Mediafire link - again im not too sure if these drivers are already modded

They are no different than before to mod really. I can mod them myself, i just needed the driver itself.

RejZoR is right. I used reghack to mod 10.10c today and it worked (for HD 4800 series). Now I Have MLAA and Surface Format Optimisation in my CCC :rockout:. I found out that some .reg files are buggy - mostly gramatics. Maybe that's why some people cannot get them to work.

If they started to add performance improvements to hotfixes it probably means that a new NVidia card is on its way. Will probably get released before 10.11. 475, or, maybe 455.

I am currently using only Surface Format Optimisation, because MLAA doesn't work. I hope it will be optimised for Shader model 4.1 in the future releases.

the ATI/AMD download link works fine for me.

MLAA was designed for DX11 hardware, it likely wont ever work on 4K cards.

Dang! only just DL the 10.10a hotfix to fix one of my displays being disabled upon start up.
Thought that was meant to have the Morphological Anti-Aliasing feature ???

according to your specs, you have 2900XT crossfire... MLAA is only for 6K cards officially
y, and hacked for 5K. you will never get it on such old cards.

Way to fail at reading an entire thread and then trolling, the 6800's just came out, these are the first drivers post-6800. Take your heatmachine elsewhere.

I stopped and looked at his specs - nVidia only. It's a damn shame there's still trolling fanboys on these forums.

True, true. It's just that a major piece of my love for TPU consists of the neutral audience.

Working on regular 10.10 at the moment. For all hotfix drivers (the link on ATIs site gives 10.10b btw) it wont install any drivers for me, just CCC. I guess its because im using Vista 64 and not Win 7. No MLAA for me.

IMO that hack just causes the gpu to run into problems, I ran the hack and my games ran the shit's. :shadedshu

I didn't even have MLAA on at the time.... I reverted back to the standard 10.10 CCC and now it's as smooth as butter.. :wtf:

did you make sure you ran it on a clean install - millions of people have installed these modded drivers on their 5xxx series cards and not many of them have had any issues - I havent had any issues with it at all.

so if your having problems then try a clean reinstall. if that doesnt work then its probably something else

remember to use driversweeper before you install any new ATi frivers and you should be good. otherwise its something else thats causing you trouble

Thanks, but I know the drill for the removal and such. I'm going to wait till a better fix comes out,.... In games I DON'T get micro tearing and yes I'm on a clean SSD install with everything configured! ;) hacks are just that,,,,, Hack's
