DGM Rolls Out a Trio of IPS LED Monitors

DGM (aka Digimate) rolled out a trio of IPS LED PC monitors covering the 24-inch, 27-inch, and 30-inch categories. The best part? These aren't the usual 1080p tripe. The 24-inch IPS-2402WDH features a scrollwheel-pleasing 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution, 178°/178° viewing angles, 350 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio with dynamic mega-contrast, and 5 ms response time. It features in-built stereo speakers, display inputs include DVI, HDMI, and D-Sub.

Moving on, the 27-inch IPS-2703WPH features a reinforced glass surface (we're guessing some Corning Gorilla magic at play here), 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution, 6 ms response time, and other vital-stats identical to its little sibling. Display inputs include dual-link DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and D-Sub. Lastly there's the pack-leading IPS-3004WPH. This 30-incher features 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution, 6 ms response time, 370 cd/m² maximum brightness, and the same connectivity as its 27-inch sibling. Internally, it features the same IPS panel used in Dell U3014, which features GB-LED backlighting. DGM didn't finalize pricing.

Meh... I'm unimpressed by Dell's 27" and 30" displays that are so focused on professional graphic design etc that they become ridiculously overpriced for general use or gaming. I'm happy with my knock off 27" Korean IPS display (the Auria), and I'll wait it out for 4K monitors next year or 2015.

Now, if they had released 1440p at the 24" mark, this would me a bit more exciting IMO.

BM70, I'm more than a little happy with my Dell U3011. To me it is worth every penny.
I've always believed that you get what you pay for.
In this case my monitor was a bargain and is the best investment I've made for my system.

I couldn't agree more. I tried the Monoprice 30" but it had bad pixels and screen irregularities, plus the menu/OSD system was a pain. Got a U3011 and haven't looked back. You really DO get what you pay for.

I'm definitely interested in the 27"/30" models with the various display input connectivity. I hope the pricing is below Dell's ridiculous prices and a notch above the Korean IPS monitors on ebay.

Meh, The More Ports It Has, The More Input Lag There Will be.

How much more input lag? Are we talking like noticeable bump of 2-3 ms while gaming?

Pricing will determine if the 27"/30" are worth it.

Shhh... it's progress. It's taken us well over 8 years to add 120 vertical pixels, so be proud. /s

Technically we had 1920x1200 BEFORE the 1080p madness, especially on 15" laptops circa 03/04.
