Black Mirror Out Now on PC & Consoles

The tragic story of the Gordon family gets a new chapter: Today, KING Art Games and THQ Nordic are releasing Black Mirror; a modern re-imagining of the acclaimed gothic-horror adventure series. The new protagonist, David Gordon, must deal with the mysteries of Black Mirror castle as well as trying to find out if there is an ongoing curse on his family.

Like in the original graphic adventure trilogy, the Gothic Horror genre and its unique atmosphere of madness and psychological distress remains at the heart of Black Mirror. The point-and-click gameplay of the original trilogy served as the basis for the re-imagined gameplay, which focuses on close-up investigation and interaction with nightmarish visions that plague the protagonist of the game David Gordon.
Key Features
  • A modern re-imagining of the acclaimed gothic-horror adventure series
  • Interactions with vision-like apparitions which help you learn more about your family's past
  • Eerie atmosphere focusing on the horrors of the mind, in the style of EA Poe and HP Lovecraft
  • High quality voice acting from a compelling ensemble cast
Black Mirror is available now on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation4, the SRP is €29,99 // $29.99 // £24.99 on PC and €29,99 // $29.99 // £34.99 on consoles.

Damn I thought it'd be based on the show. Would love a game mocking social media culture. :D

Can't say I've played these before.

It's an updated reimagining of Black Mirror 1 to 3. They are well respected adventure game, which is why I was looking forward to this, to see if it does the original series justice.

True to that. A Black Mirror-esque game would be great. thinking of something like Until Dawn / David Cage production would be amazing in that. An episodic series, just like the television series and those kinds of games, but with AAA quality...

Oh man.

Can't say I've ever played any of the original Black Mirror games, but my curiosity is piqued.

@rtwjunkie, these are story-heavy, I assume?

@Raevenlord yes, story-driven, slow paced adventure. This seems like it could be faster tho, like Alan Wake.

And Alan Wake was brilliant. I'll definitely give it a go then =)

I played a bit last night. Visuals at nice (not great, but pretty good), sounds are great. Controls are ok, if a little cumbersome.

I only played about 30 minutes to get a feel for it. Atmosphere is well done...the mansion is creepy. It might be a little oversimplified in an attempt to win new adventure game players, as most object that nigh be of interest already have a little mark. The player does have a bit more control over the character than earlier versions of the game, IMHO.

Overall I like enough to play more. It feels polished. I only quit due to already being deep into Assassins Creed Origins.
