NVIDIA Releases GeForce 398.46 Hotfix Drivers
NVIDIA today released the GeForce 398.46 Hotfix drivers. These kind of driver releases are expeditiously rolled out to address glaring bugs with drivers, usually affecting gameplay of major titles. The 398.46 Hotfix drivers primarily address the issue of random black textures in "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" from publisher Bethesda Softworks. This game uses the Vulkan API and takes advantage of mega-textures. As a reminder, the driver is only available for 64-bit versions of Windows 10. Looks like Win 7/8 is on the chopping block for nVidia. They don't address the TDRs that recent drivers have introduced, and stopped providing hotfixes. It's almost intentional ...
