Far Cry 6 Set in Exotic Environment, Launching July 12th

Far Cry 6, the sequel to Ubisoft's popular franchise of Far Cry games, is supposedly launching on July 12th. Thanks to the report from Gamereactor.dk, they have obtained information that Ubisoft will unveil the latest game sequel at the Ubisoft Forward event. In translation, the website said: "The last [Ubisoft] game scheduled to be released before April (unless Ubisoft decides it's this game that should be postponed due to COVID-19 or that there are too many AAA releases in a fairly short window) is set to be a Far Cry. I don't want to ruin Ubisoft's plans by giving you all the information, but I can say with certainty that those of you who didn't like Far Cry 5's North American setting are likely to find this game more interesting when it's officially unveiled during Ubisoft Forward on July 12."

The game is said to be available sometime in 2021, however, that information could very well be not true, as the game launch is happening much earlier than that. It could be that Ubisoft is preparing to launch this with the wave of next-generation consoles, so we have to wait and see how it plays out.

Ubisoft is ultra woke, I don't have any hope in their studio considering the garbage they have been putting out lately. I will wait and see if they learnt anything, ever since they changed that logo, Ubisoft became literal garbage class.

Everyone is begging for a dinosaur island. If they don't make that then someone needs to reboot Turok Dinosaur Hunter.

After FC2 I didn't touch any other FC, they don't seem appealing at all, for a FC that is.

This will be interesting, but, I've lost interest in these outside of benchmarking after FC2.
the54thvoidTitle says FC6 'launching' July 12th. It's only a reveal. Actual release, according to source in post is 2021. :(
AleksandarKTechnically, the launch is in July. The question of availability is what you are referring to. And we can't know when it will be available until it is launched. Updated the article to avoid confusion.
We have very different ideas of what a launch is...............most expect availability from a launch.... this is why the term PAPER launch exists because the expectation is availability.

Stopped playing FC 4 onward, I didn't even finish it. Too much chore, repetitive, boring.
I'm surprised they even made couple spin off and released 6th installment.

Far Cry 1 and 2 are my favorite, anything after is good, but nothing special like the first 2.

dj-electricExotic enviornment is where this series came from, and possibly where it can and should return to. Good call.
Crysis, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are the real Far Cry original successors.
Far Cry 2 by Ubisoft is a joke and will always remain an embarrassment for what could have been a truly legendary series.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I hated FC5 so we'll see what FC6 is all about.

The WitcherI felt that Far Cry 5 was just pushing some sort of Anti-Trump agenda, I despise it when companies try to push agenda down my throat through games.

I just hope that they will innovate and try something new other than the usual: "Unlock the map by turning on radio towers and clearing outposts" which at this point is just toooooooooo boring. All I want is a deep jungle or Savanah biome with innovative gameplay.
Where'd you get the ridiculous notion that Farcry 5 was pushing some sort of Anti-Trump agenda? You're fighting against a crazy religious cult family... if you see an Anti-Trump agenda in that then you're really searching hard to find it.

Farcry 5 was their best selling game, so don't expect innovation until they stop selling as more and more. Same game with different skin is Ubisoft's formula, and it seems to be working for some reason.

Me too, except Crysis 0, aka Far Cry, I will never touch this low quality and low level engine Dunia.
