Sweet. First board out that uses the new chipset from AMD. Only thing, no PCIe16x for upgrading graphics.

Pretty much all new mobo come with at lease 1 PCI-E X16 slot.
Well, the whole point of 690G is for the top onboard graphics.
I guess a plain 690 mobo is good enough if you are going to use a graphic card.:D

I want one of these boards. So sexy and white. I have a matx case just waiting for it. I think I would actually make the move to AM2 and ddr2 because of this board, and slap a Sapphire video card in it of course. :respect:

I am SO jealous! The Sapphire motherboards haven't been the easiest to come by here in the states. You can find them, but they not as plentiful as other brands. I haven't bought a Sapphire mobo. yet, but this one looks to be one to have, imo. I am a fan of good matx boards. ( I need to post some pics of my Antec NSK1300 rig.) I hope Newegg gets these in, soon.

I look forward to your review W1zzard. :)

I would love to suggest a methodology, but dont have the time to do a bit of research first. Could you test it with a 5000+ cpu (or there abouts). Some generic results would be more than enough, to see if playback drops frames etc.

There are some clips here:

www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/musicandvideo/hdvideo/contentshowcase.aspx
www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/

I cant comment on whether these are considered easier or harder to play files for 1080p. Do you have Blue-Ray or HDDVD drives to test an actual movie?

Sorry this isnt a great testing method but its something.
