Filco Launches the Majestouch 2S Metal SUS Stainless Steel Keyboard
If you've been on the lookout for a truly durable keyboard, Filco might have what you've been waiting for in the shape of the Majestouch 2S Metal SUS, a keyboard housed inside a 1.6 to 2 mm thick SUS304HL (HL for hairline finish) stainless steel chassis. The keyboard weighs in at almost 4.4 kg, although this does include the integrated wrist rest.
Besides its sturdy chassis, the Majestouch 2S Metal SUS features screw-in height-adjustable legs and if these aren't tall enough, an optional kit for even more height is available. Filco offers four different Cherry MX switch options for the US ANSI models, brown, blue, red and silver (speed), whereas the Japanese version has to make do without the blue switches. The keyboard has a hardwired USB cable, but it also comes with a PS/2 adapter. A small pad for the wrist rest is also supplied, that should make it slightly more comfortable to type on the keyboard. The supplied keycaps are made out of PBT, with a rather unusual light green colour for the legends. Rather unusually, Filco has gone for purple LEDs for the "lock" indicators. If you're looking at picking one up, expect to pay a premium for it, as both the US and Japanese versions are going for the equivalent of US$336.

Reminds me of back in the day when Corsair first came to their market with their K95. A keyboard made out of aircraft grade aluminium. Wish i had kept it rather than selling it off because i dumb and wanted different colour LEDs
Whatever happened to real engineering and DFM/DFA design? Is everyone out to scam everyone?
That said, Filco does warn potential buyers from lifting it by the edges, as even though they have deburred the metal, there's still a chance you can cut yourself on it, hence the carrying handle a the back.
cold (dead) hands.
Only thing that's missing to make it a debt-inducing instant buy: Stamped Metal Keycaps. I'm still waiting for someone to make those.
If there was a sealed silicone membrane over the keys that would make more sense.
Think this is the over priced key board thread of the week winner at least it has a key pad lol
