Sony goes Rolly
Sony has released details on their new "egg-shaped" music player, named Rolly. The name "Rolly" describes the new robotic technology Sony created that makes the rolly move around while projecting music from both ends. Its method of sound production is quite unusual, "the circular ends to the Rolly focus the music directly ahead to give a stereo sound, while the player vibrates bass through the surface it is making contact with."
Music can be played either wirelessly, via blue tooth connection, or through its 1GB of internal memory. It supports MP3, ATRAC and AAC formats. Lastly the Rolly will be released in Japan, on September 29, for the equivalent of $346 USD.
