GALAX via its Virtual Online Expo has revealed a new graphics card series coming to customers. The renders currently lack any power connectors - so we shouldn't look too hard into the absence of any NVLink fingers either. In a somewhat puzzling trend, this is yet another launch from CORSAIR's Hydro X series of custom watercooling components that has not been marketed by the company. It took a careful set of eyes to see the new CPU block, the Hydro X Series XC5, on their website and evidently this is a new release targeting even more a budget-friendly build compared to the Hydro XC7 and Hydro XC9 blocks. The XC5 block is a cost-down version of the XC7, with support for Intel LGA 115x/1200 and AMD AM4 CPU sockets depending on the SKU you go with. Gone is the transparent top, and instead we see a black nylon top with a patterned cutout for RGB lighting. The nickel-plated copper cold plate is replaced with passivated copper, which may also please all you pure copper folks out there, and the 16 RGB LEDs are now set up in 8 lighting zones (two LEDs per zone) as opposed to fully addressable 16 dRGB LEDs on the XC7. This means that the Hydro XC5 blocks can be had for $60/€60 before applicable taxes, which is $20 less than the XC7 on street pricing at the moment.

Ahead of the official release date for NVIDIA's RTX 3070 graphics cards (set for October 29th, the day after AMD's Navi announcement on October 28th), PALIT has taken the wraps of their RTX 3070 JetStream graphics card. The JetStream features a relatively subdued design with a glossy black color and a gray JetStream logo (which apparently lights in with RGB illumination) in-between the dual fan cooling solution.

The card's PCB is short - extremely short, even - meaning that it ends around the middle section of the actual cooler shroud (and backplate, which accompanies the shroud). This also means that the power connectors (a 2x 8-pin solution) sits in the middle of the card, rotated 90º relative to the cards' length. This particular choice from Palit could mean difficulties for cable routing and tidying up builds. Overall, the card features an attractive, low-key design. PALIT will reveal the full card specifications come the official launch on October 29th.

Until NVIDIA rolls out Ampere-based Quadro products, the closest thing to a "professional" graphics card on this architecture has to be the new GeForce RTX 3080 VISION OC by GIGABYTE. The VISION brand by GIGABYTE is targeted at creators, and the company wagers it can sell the RTX 3080 to this market, hoping they get the hint to pair it with NVIDIA's Studio drivers. The RTX 3080 VISION OC combines a black PCB with a mostly-white cooling solution that's characteristic of the VISION design scheme, along with some brushed aluminium accents.

The top of the card features a large silicone ARGB diffuser that lights up in any color or transitions of color. The triple-slot, triple-fan cooler uses multiple aluminium fin-stacks skewered by six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes that pull heat over a copper base-plate. The cooler is longer than the PCB, so GIGABYTE punched holes through the back-plate to let airflow form the third fan through. GIGABYTE ships the card with a yet-unspecified factory-overclock. The card draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Display outputs include two HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4a connectors. The card is 32 cm long and 12.6 mm tall, and needs three slots in your system. The company didn't reveal pricing.

CORSAIR announces more new products each year than most companies, and this often means that marketing resources get devoted to the high-ticket items more often than not. Their custom watercooling line, the Hydro X Series, is not always one of them and so we end up seeing quiet updates without a press release or even a direct note from their representatives to the media. With the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000-series cards coming in three different categories as far as custom watercooling goes (reference, Founders Edition, AIC-variants), we took the weekend to briefly check what the usual custom watercooling suspects were up to. A page on the CORSAIR website confirms, among other things, that Hydro X GPU blocks are on the way for at least the reference PCB, if not more.

More interestingly, we noted that the Hydro XC7 and XC9 CPU blocks had been updated in more ways than one. We have detailed reviews of both (XC7, XC9) for those who want to see, and our review of the iCUE Nexus also showed a rebranding in the making for the company. The updated CPU blocks carry the new wordmark design for the logo on all 5 SKUs and, more importantly, change the mounting mechanism to allow for a captive system with new thumb screws that should make installation even easier on all Intel and AMD CPU sockets. This should bring with it increased compatibility with crowded m-ITX motherboards as well, and we see it reflected in the additional 719 motherboards in the compatibility list relative to before. Finally, a motherboard ARGB LED adapter is now included in the packaging, so you can use the integrated lighting with motherboard LED headers and control software, should you not want to pony extra for CORSAIR's ecosystem. Pricing for the Hydro XC7 is now $5 higher and the same as the XC9, which is confusing given it uses fewer fins on the cold plate and, the launch versions at least, employed a plastic trim compared to the metal on the XC9. We have contacted the company for clarification on this, and will update the post as we receive more information.

Cougar today introduced the Aqua ARGB line of all-in-one, closed-loop, liquid CPU coolers. It is available in three variants based on radiator size - the Aqua ARGB 360 (360 mm x 120 mm), Aqua ARGB 280 (280 mm x 140 mm), and Aqua ARGB 240 (240 mm x 120 mm). All three include a cuboidal pump-block design with ARGB LED diffusers at the top, along with an illuminated Cougar logo; and the company's VA-series ARGB fans (either 120 mm or 140 mm, depending on the variant).

The cooler includes an ARGB controller with an RF remote control, so you can set lighting, color, and pattern presets on the fly. The VA120 fan included with the 360 and 240 variants spin at 600 to 2,000 RPM, pushing up to 74 CFM of air at up to 2.78 mm H₂O pressure, and 39.55 dBA max noise, each. Thermaltake today rolled out the Versa T35 TG, a step up from the Versa T25 TG it launched last week. The T35 has the exact same dimensions as the T25 - 416 mm x 210 mm x 480 mm (HxWxD), but has a premium bit. The front panel features tempered glass that's divided somewhat diagonally by a plastic beam with two ARGB diffusers. Internally, the T35 and T25 are identical, with room for graphics cards up to 30 cm in length, CPU coolers up to 15 cm in height, and PSUs up to 16 cm in length. You get the same two 3.5-inch/2.5-inch bays in a detachable drive cage in the bottom compartment, and two 2.5-inch drive mounts. Fans supported include two 200 mm or 140 mm front intakes, two 140 mm or 120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. The company didn't reveal pricing.
